We will be going down early March and would love some advise for Baby's 1rst trip? We have been before, but this will be a first for her!princess: We are driving down, and staying a few days at the Swan then on to a 1bedroom at the BWV. So, I will have washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, etc for most of our trip!:cheer2: I was wondering if I should bring a pack n play or use one there? Any suggestions of other things I should bring? Also what type diaper bag works best? And, should I bring a sling or back pack carrier? Any hints or tips will be very appreciated!:grouphug: I am starting a special shopping list and have disposable bibs and clorox wipes so far! Any other addition ideas???:rotfl: Thanks!pixiedust:

I would absolutely bring the back carrier-sling is good for the shorter carries but I assume you'll be wearing baby for long periods of time so you'll want the 2 shoulder support for sure.
I'd bring a backpack bag for one of the parents to wear just for the comfort-my shoulder bag gets too heavy for carrying around all day-at least a backpack will distribute the weight better.
Bring a good sun hat for baby-they can still get sunburned w/ clouds ya know ;) Especially their little necks.
Dress the baby in layers-short sleeve, sweater, jacket type layers so you can take one off at a time depending on weather.
HAVE FUN!

We went when my DD was 9 months. I took ready to feed formula that was 6oz. bottles. All I had to do was put on a nipple and go. Then I could throw away the bottle and all. No clean up. I did not want to tote around dirty/smelly bottles all day long. I also made sure to take Take and Toss silverware. My daughter was still on mostly jar food. I made packets in ziploc bags with a spoon, bib, and whatever jar food I need for that meal. Then you can toss however many packets you need for the day into your bag. I also put Cherrios and Gerber fruit puffs in small gladware containers that way they wouldn't get crushed and if I lost the container I would be very upset. My husband carried a backpack with most of the stuff in it and I had a small daiper bag with a few items in it just in case we got separated. Hope you have fun.

Leave your pack and play at home and just bring a sheet that fits one.

I had the best diaperbag ever, but I'm not sure they make them anymore. Its totally worth ebay, though. It was the sportbaby backpack. It had the insulated pockets, the lined deviders.....but the best feature was the oversized changing pad that was attached, so you can change baby anywhere, and not loose the pad!

Do not bring the backpack carrier. A sling or front carrier is what you want. The baby can stay in those one rides and in shows, while you would have to remove a backpack for those things.

Also get yourself some table toppers. They are presterilized mats that stick to the table, so you can put finger foods down while you eat.

Dont know if you plan on having a stroller but if you are get the baby ray shade and bring the rain cover so baby never gets wet from the rain. The rain cover helped me because while there we had a full day of rain and we just put the cover over the stroller and my DS stayed dry all day...so did all our stuff and we went out in our ponchos and had a great time.

Dont know hot hot it is in March but there are also fan attachments for the strollers that you can use for baby at onestepahead.com

Leave the pack and play at home..bring a sheet from your house to use.
I also love bringing the Dawn dish wipes..makes life a lot easier.
I would recommend bringing a carrier... i would get something good that is comfy for you and the baby for extended periods of time, and that you can use on a daily basis if you wish. You can check out http://thebabywearer.com/ they have a ton of info there.
I use a Babyhawk Mei tei and a Beco http://babyhawk.com/ & http://ecobabies.com/ they also sell the Beco here in stock ready to ship http://www.littlepearlbabywear.com/catalog.php?category=20
I also have a Peanut shell sling for quick hip carries http://goo-ga.com/
PLease feel free to PM me with any questions about WDW or babywearing!!!
Good Luck!

My experience is that the pack n plays at the resorts are clean and in good shape.

My husband and I both use the band-like (I don't know what it's called) carrier from Mayawrap (not the one with the tail.) We have two now so we're never without while one is washing. It's adjustable and we've used it with a newborn to 7 months and counting. We also used it with our 15 month old and it has worked great for all circumstances. The best part is that it evenly distributes the child's weight and it feels very secure. The bonus is that it folds very compactly so you can carry it in your diaper bag and have it handy whenever you want it.

We love our diaper bag from One Step Ahead. It's the one-strapped backpack. You pick if you want the left or the right. It has just the right amount of organizational pockets and can stand on its own if you set it down. Also there is a spot for your own things that kind of wraps around the side that you can open with one hand to get out a credit card or something without taking the whole bag off. It's a very smart design and very durable. We've used ours for our two babies for well over a year now and it still looks new. I think it costs around $100 but it's a keeper.

Be sure to bring plenty of ziplocks of various sizes for things like wet clothes, dirty diaper disposal in your room...

Have a great time!

Thanks!:cheer2: I will leave my pack & play at home! Also I am still trying to decide on a new pack/sling!:rotfl: So many options! I also saw a diaper bag on One Ste Ahead I really like!:wizard: Anything else I will really need??????:confused3 I am thinking about bringing her exersaucer?? I really appreciate all the help!:grouphug:

We took our 11 month old to Disney in 2005 and learned a great deal from that trip. This year we are taking our 9 month old at the beginning of March too! Here are some things that we're planning to do that proved to work great!

-Bring disposable bibs, table toppers, individually wrapped Wet Ones (saves packing space) for meal time.
-Bring spoons for baby food (washed each night at the hotel)
-Bring any baby food you might need (if you have to buy it at the parks, it will be expensive!)
-Bring bottles and large container of powdered formula. Each night, I put servings in a ziploc and would pour into a bottle with bottled water when she was ready to eat.
-Bring dawn and bottle brush to wash bottles and spoons each night
-Pack each outfit in a ziploc (reuse ziplocs for formula or dirty's)
-Pack own sheet for Pack n Play and anything from home that might be reassuring at bedtime.

I am sure there are more, but that is all I can think of right now!
