Tips, advice and must do's for a first time trip for a family of 6?!

Great thanks for all the advice. I will definitely look into Hollywood & vine as DD3 loves Sofia and Doc McStuffins & DD3 loves Jake & the never land pirates! Will look into getting the Disney planning DVD today.

You're welcome. :) Your kids will love Hollywood and Vine if they are fans of those characters. :) The planning DVD definitely helps. You can go through the attractions on the website, too, and let the kids look at those. I had my 6 year old go through the site the other day, so we could mark down everything we want to try to hit. :)

Thanks for all the advice :) do you know when the dates of those events will be released? I would love to do the Halloween one. Luckily for this trip money is not too much of a worry and we happy to spend a bit more of we have to as we have waited so long for this trip and have the luxury of a more flexible budget. I think I'll definitely have to find out a bit more about port Orleans as it sounds great! Do you know if you can already book for September/October hotel reservations? I definitely want to do BBB as DD7 is still into dressing up and loves the disney princesses and I don't know how much longer that will last so definitely want to do that while she's still into it and I'm sure DD3 will love it too! I definitely think I might buy a few glow sticks and light up toys from the dollar stores before going though because I hate wasting money on junk that I know they won't use again! I love the sound of those kidcot stops in Epcot I think the kids will love that!

Thanks for the advice about the change of clothes & medicines will definitely do both!

I'm still unsure about what to do about the stroller, as DD1 will need one, but don't know about DD3 & DS3 - although they will be 4 when we go.

Thanks for all the great advice :)

I am not sure when the Halloween tix will go onsale, but this is something really fun to do. The kids get to trick or treat through the park, the characters will have costumes on in the parade, and when we were there a few years ago Woody from Toy Story had a "dance party" and Jessie was there along with Woody, and the horse (who I can't remember his name). My nephew was 3 at the time and he still talks about dancing with Woody and Jessie. :)

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside in a few weeks. I can let you know our experiences if you'd like. I believe this is the only hotel that sleeps 5 (or 5 and the baby in your case) besides doing one of the suites, and the suites are more expensive per night. If you can afford it, the suites at Art of Animation look really cool, but for us, we just couldn't justify spending the extra this time, when we can stay at Port Orleans.

I would definitely recommend a stroller for the 3 year olds. There is so much walking that the little ones get tired. We are going to do a double stroller this time so the 6 year old can sit down too, if he needs to. The ones Disney has to rent are pretty uncomforable, so it's probably better if you have your own or rent from one of the local stroller rental places. I've found it's easier to have and keep the kids energy up, than to not have, and have to either carry them or listen to whining. ;) And it's a good place to store diaper bags, soft sided coolers (which I recently found out you can take in with whatever food you want, with a few exceptions like glass, alcohol, etc), and things like that. :)
