First time to Disney world with our 4 kids... 16 10 4 and 2... we are taking 2 single canopy umbrella strollers. Since 4 kids need to haul some. When we are all able to ride a ride and we leave bags on strollers will it be messed with or taken? Or does someone sorta watch them? How exactly does this work. my older two and I will have fanny packs for our cameras.. the kids want to bring their own camera to take pics so they will carry their own in their pack.. we are considering bringing our video camera to use certain times and done know how to handle that.. dont know what is allowed with us on rides and what isnt and if anthing would be messed with if we left it with strollers.. what has anyone else done?

thanks

Our family rented the WDW double strollers during our trip. Our kids are older (8 & 4) and could walk most of the time but it was nice to have a place for them to sit when they got tired! Plus they had lots of storage room, so we were able to store packages, our backpack etc. Each attraction has an area to park strollers while riding/viewing. CM's will sometimes move them, but never too far.....the WDW strollers all have a pouch that holds a piece of paper for your name. I did carry my digital camera & wallet on the rides, but everything else was left in the stroller and nothing was ever stolen.....maybe everyone is too busy having a "magical" time!
Enjoy your trip!

You can leave the stroller in the assigned stroller area. We leave diaper bags/coolers in stroller with no problems, of course nothing valuable in them.
I have never had a problem with anything disappearing from the stroller. CM will move strollers sometimes, so it might not be in the same place you left it, but it's close by.

I felt my stroller was very safe, we left blanket, ponchos etc but nothing of value like a camera. There have been stories of stoller theft but they are few and far between when you consider how many strollers are at Disney on any given day.

If you are going to the park(s) for more than one day, pre-purchase all days the day you arive. You get a small discount this way a($2-$3 per day, for a double, I think) AND you do not have to stand in line each day!

Hi
I would never leave anything of value, like a camera, in the stroller. I have heard of valuable things being stolen from strollers. People think that because you're in Disney that your things are safe. I wouldn't take a chance. We had my DGD"s stroller with us last year, and I didn't even want to put anything we bought in there. If you're staying on property, you can ship stuff that you buy back to your resort, so you don't have to carry it around. Have fun!!

For the most part,no one is going to mess with your stuff. However, use common sense and if you need to store items that you don't want stolen or damaged (think RAIN), you can also rent a locker to store those items.

People leave absolutely everything in strollers, camera bags, all of their purchases, you name it, I've seen it in strollers. I'm not that trusting - I hate to leave anything in a stroller! I'll probably have to leave a bag with raincoats and a bit of diapering stuff, but I keep most everything else with me, in a small backpack, large fanny pack, or large purse. I pack light and I send all my purchases to package pickup.

We took our own stroller to WDW, we painted the hood to have our names on it like the Incredibles symbol and got loads of compliments. I did feel safe leaving my sigg bottles on my stroller when we walked away and did occationally leave just my diaper bag

HOWEVER!!!!! I tied one toy for each of my kids to the stroller. Nothing really of value a happy meal mickey mouse doll for my 1 year old and a spider man for my 3 year old. I made kinda 5 point harnuses out of lime green ribbon and made weavers knots to the stroller

we left the stroller during preschool disney hours infront of Peter Pan... I placed knotted up spider man in the seat before we walked away... when we returned he was gone

My kid was very dissapointed

we have since used this as the lession not to take toys outside of home

I would be less dissapointed myself except I checked my knots just before we left our stroller and someone removed the whole ribbon

it was a small thing and I imagine it was taken by a not adult (not kid like my kids... someone in between, perhaps who may not have known better)

I wouldnt leave anything on a stroller you are not willing to loose forever

I never leave anything of value in our stroller. I always take cameras, souvineers, etc. About the only thing I leave in the stroller is snacks, water, etc. in the basket. We usually have a backpack and keep the camera and important stuff in there and just grab it off the back when we head to a ride. We always park and leave the stroller in Fantasyland since everything is so close and we usually ride everything there. It has always been okay, but like I said we never leave anything valuable in it. The stroller is NEVER in the same place we leave it in Fantasyland, though. Those stroller parking people move them like crazy.

Great tips for me.. question some of you say you dont leave your cameras and souveniers etc in the buggy.. how do you take them on the rides?? I know camers probably can be put in fanny pack but video cameras and such.. I imagine some rides you can take things on but others can be bad to take them?

Also about Souveniers.. I read that if you let the shops know up to 3hrs ahead of time before you leave you can have your purchases sent to the front gate waiting for you to pick up when you leave so you dont have to trek all over the park with your extra stuff and if you are staying in a resort they will deliver it to your room by noon next day or something like that.

Something to check out!

we carried a backpack with extra gatoraid mix, diapers, and emergency back up snacks. Then the camera also went inside we took the bag on rides with us.

We stayed on site and all our purchases were sent to our hotel

Thanks,, I read alot of places that the disney stollers were very uncomfortable for kids.. so I guess this is wrong? Does the stollers at disney lay back for kids to take nap? Thanks for all your input its been a great help!! We are going mid March this year and I am planning away and getting things together already for it so its not last minute.

I personally think the disney strollers look horridly uncomfortable, think hard plastic. I would never get one for my son, but I have a maclaren bought specifically for disney that is like dream! I want our own that will recline, not to mention for places other then the parks.

We leave everything in the stroller of non value. Cameras and wallets go with us. i have left small packages before too.
