My family of six are going in October, we got the free dining package. It says it includes tax and tip, so my question is for those of you who have used the dining plan do you tip extra? How much tip is included in the plan for them15-20%? Thanks. :flower:

To tip or not to tip extra is up to you, if I got great service, I would tip extra, because some waiters will not wait on you, when you tell them you have the ding plan, try not to tell them at first, till you see how they are acting, some waiters will come right out and say if you have dining plan, don't forget desert, then some waiters will avoid you all together. Those that will not give you service need to be reported. Disney gives us the right to have it, so it is not the waiters choice not to wait on us.

That's a good question about the gratuity in the Dining Plan. Maybe someone will know.

Anyway, whenever tax and gratuity is added in a meal price, I will tip extra if the service is good. I am always afraid that the server will not get that money. Even if I pay with a credit card or at WDW, my key card, I leave a cash tip.

I tipped extra most of the time for good service. I even had a cm at Chef Mickey's to try to give it back saying that it was already included. I told her she was wonderful and it was just a little something extra! :flower:

When the tip is included, like HDDR or Luau, or parties of 8, the tip the server gets is now 18%. So you can work up from there.
