Our Family is leaving for WDW-POR in 6 days :cool1: !! I have heard that CM are very attentive and I am sure there will be numerous opportunities where tipping will be appropriate. Could someone please tell me what the appropriate guidelines are for tipping-mousekeeping, the guy who helps us with our luggage, the taxi driver(if we use one). We are taking the magical express(at least I hope we are-not sure from what I've heard) so do I need to tip the CM that handles our luggage there. Also we are on the dining plan. It is my understanding that all taxes and tips are included when you buy the plan. But I believe that I read somewhere that people are still tipping even on the dining plan. Also, is it better to tip mousekeeping daily versus one time at end of stay. Any other guidelines would be appreciated. Thanks ahead for your help!

I always tip mousekeepers and baggage handlers. Usually $2 per night per person for Mousekeeper and $1 per bag for baggage handlers. I leave the Mousekeeper tip daily as you may not have the same mousekeeper everyday.

As far as tips for food on meal plans that include tip, I leave extra if I feel I have received extra. If I feel that I have received just normal service I do not leave any extra. I have been know to leave up to 30% tip [including the built in tip] for truely exceptional service.

Please note that the DDE card just opened to AP holders does not include any tip. This card is just a discount card, not a prepaid dinner package. You should leave a tip based on the non discounted price of your meal.
