Tipping?

I know that tipping is very personal and situational, but I thought I'd ask anyway and perhaps someone can give me some insight.

We are staying at the GCH next month. Here are my two tipping questions:

1. We plan to arrive at 9am or so and pre-check into the hotel and leave our bags with bell services while we visit the park. We'll be back to pick up the bags at 3pm and head up to our room. Do we tip bell services as we drop off the bags, or at pick-up of the bags, or both? Or not at all? Is $1 a bag correct?

2. Do you tip housekeeping? Daily? At the end of your stay? About how much?

Thanks!

In regards to tipping I would when dropping off bags, tip about $3.00 per bag. And when your bags are delivered, tip the same. As far as the maids are concerned, ask the front desk if the same maid will be assaighned to your room for your entire stay, and leave it at the end or tip dailey if its not the same person. Always tip these people, they work really hard to make your stay magic!!Patty :cool1:

For the bellman I would tip $2 per bag, each time (when dropping them off and again when delivered to room).

For housekeeping, I tip a minimum of $1 per person, per day. Often I tip more than that, that's just my minimum for basic service. Many times it's different housekeeping staff each day, so it's generally best to tip daily.
