tipping the house maid

Hi

We are staying of site and as far as i know we have a house maid. Its a 2 bed villa in a complex of villas has a shop, laundry, restaurant like a hotel. What should i tip the housemaid, should i leave the tip out for her before we leave for the day.

Hi Marv, I'm sure I read on here that it's usual to tip the maid a $1 per bed.

The normal tip for maids is $1 per person per day.

We print out those Mousekeeping envelopes and leave one in a prominent place daily.
