OK, so this was just a thought, how mucch does everyone generally tip if you're on the free DDP? I mean, do they give you a bill, and then you just tip the standard ( I tip 20%). Also, what about buffets? Locally, I have only tipped a couple of bucks, (2-5) at buffets, because I am serving myself, what does everyone else do?

This may be wrong but I believe in tipping for quality of service......esp at a buffet. They bring you drinks & not much more. So are they attentive or does my drink run continually dry? IDK but I can't imagine more than $5 for a table at a buffet.

If you go over to the Disney Restaurant Board they have a sticky up top that will help answer all of your questions.

Totally not offended:goodvibes
I just did not want your thread to be removed or closed before you got the answers that you were looking for!!!:thumbsup2
Have a great vacation.

Just to give you an idea of what we just spent on tips on a 9 day trip.(8/27-9/04) for 14 table service meals.(We were a table of 9 so we had the 18% automatically added to our bill even though we were 3 seperate families)
Our family of 4 adults was just under $500.00.
We were on the DxDDP and the 18% was figured out on our bill total of what we had ordered before our dining credits were used.

All reciepts show 18% and 20% gratuities for options. (including buffetts) For us the only tip that was included in the dining plan was the Luau Dinner Show. We also spent probably 300 toward gratuities with the free dining plan. Families with 6 or more are automatically charged gratuities. EVEN if the 6th person is under 3.

We even did the low on the buffet. Our server at Boma's was not good. We had to ask for refills and even straws. I was disappointed. But, we still did the minimum on the receipt. I felt it was his livlihood and so I did. I guess the magic of being kind at Disney got to me. The food was awesome just not the server. We spent the same as everyone else. Have a super trip.:goodvibes
