Tipping Question...

Ok, I've read lots of questions on the tipping thread...I wonder if you could give me your advice on this one..We have made ADRS for 12 t/s meals in October but have the free DDP...What is the best way to leave a tip to our server.?...Do we leave dollars ( cash ) or sign our bill tab, example $40, and use our magic bands..Many thanks..

There is no best way. What ever is most convenient for you is fine.

Whatever is easier for you. We tended to leave cash last time we had the ddp since I had cash on me. It is all about what makes it easier for you.

If you leave cash, be sure to mark the receipt you leave with the restaurant and the one you take with you. There have been some reports of people leaving cash and then finding their MB, credit card, or room charged with a tip. No way of knowing if it's on purpose or a mistake, and I don't want to start the discussion. It's good advice whenever you dine and leave a cash tip no matter where you are. Keep those receipts just in case.

We magic band the tip and pay at the resort.

We often have other charges at the meal for bar drinks, so I just use the Magic Band to pay for those and tip.

We are often on the dining plan. The easiest way for me is to put extras- tip, alcohol, apps -on my magic band and pay the account with the Disney gift cards I collect before the trip. It helps me keep track of my spending.

Once again, thanks folks..I reckon I'll let the magic band do our tipping..
