Question: How much do you guys tip Mousekeeping? And do you tip when you leave the room for the day? Even the next day after you check in?

Thanks! I've already printed off my envelopes. ::MickeyMo

We tip $1/person per day at least. And yes, I even tip that first day. I figure someone had to get my room ready for me! :goodvibes

We just got back from our trip last week and we left $5.00 a day in the mousekeeping envelope. Our Ft. Wilderness cabin was always spotless, beds made etc. whenever we got back from the parks, whether it was early or late afternoon :goodvibes

$1 per person per day, even on the day after check in :) . I'll be solo for my next trip and I'll leave $2 per day as I feel a bit odd just leaving a single dollar. But that's just me.

I'm not sure if Disney works the same way, but at the hotels I worked at it was very rare for me to get the same stretch of rooms each day. If you tip good one day because someone made your room wonderful the previous, chances are the money is going to a completely different mousekeeper. Just something to keep in mind.

That being said we leave $2-$3 for mousekeeping each day. Tipping is a great idea b/c with as busy as mousekeepers are, getting a tip gives them that extra "woohoo" for the day and they push to do it just a bit better. :)

I don't do the envelopes, I just leave the cash either on the pillow (which is "traditional" in hotels everywhere) or on the note that housekeepers leave with their name on it, or I sometimes write a quick note of thanks or a request jotted on the pad of paper there. If you enjoy scrapbooking and that kind of stuff you will enjoy making the envelopes, but they certainly aren't necessary.

We leave at least $1 per person per day ($3 for us) but most of the time we leave $5--and have even left $10 once or twice when there were unfortunate accidents that caused a large mess that we were unable to clean ourselves.

We left $5 / day for the 4 of us every day.... though I must say, I think that was very generous for the service we got.... several times our room was not done by mid afternoon when we returned, and once the maid left towels and toilet paper just sitting on the bed.... and the beds were not tucked in real well.... I'm not real picky, but I didn't feel like the tipping was warranted, even though I continued to tip....
