I know this can be a hot button topic. We are staying DVC for the first time in just 2 1/2 weeks in a studio for 12 nights at SSR then 3 nights at BWV in a studio also. We always tipped when we stayed in the resorts and had daily maid service (usually a dollar or 2 per person per day) We will have 1 full service cleaning and 1 T&T service and then of course our check out cleaning at SSR and just a check out cleaning at BWV. What would be reasonable to tip? I was thinking $8 for full service days and $5 for T&T days. What do you tip? Please post your suggestions! Thanks!:goodvibes

Im sure the housekeepers do not make much money and if I can afford to stay DVC I can afford to tip my housekeeper every three or four days.

I mean for 10 bucks I can make their day abit brighter :sunny:

I normally don't tip unless I'm staying in a regular resort room and not on points.

I would say stick with the $1-$2 perperson for the full service and maybe half of that for T&T. Also, you should leave the tip in the room the day of the service, since it may not be the same CM the next day.

We try to tip ~5$ at T&T time, but sometimes the days get away from us and we miss it. I try to make up for it at checkout.

I agree with MURCOR - for the price of a few snacks in the park, you can put a lif in someones step for the day!

We (2 adults in room) tip $5 for T&T and/or Full cleaning, and then $10-$15 on check out.

I think it's only fair to give them a little something for helping make our vacation a bit easier. They aren't paid much, and they certainly don't see anything extra from our annual fees :thumbsup2

Any tip is appreciated. Housekeeping teams are some of the hardest working and least appreciated teams in any hotel, a couple bucks a day for the length of your stay is very generous as they are often forgotten when it comes to tips.

While our dues help pay for things like staffing, we would still tip our valet or bellman, so why not our housekeeper? The service industry is tough work.

Our next stay will be 2 nights in a studio, and we'll leave $5 for mousekeeping. We typically leave $5 to $30 when we leave, and $5 or so when we get new towels.

We tipped $10 for T&T and $20 when full cleaning was done. We saw our housekeeper twice through out our stay in the hallways and she was very appreciative and really did a great job picking up the room on even the T&T days.

I usually just get one of those Turkey leg from MK and leave it on the table...
Seriously, I usually go with $1 a day and sometimes $2 a day
