Tipping Mousekeepers

I was just wondering how much everyone tips Mousekeeping and do you leave the a tip daily or just one big tip when you leave. This is something we have done with one tip when leaving but after seeing the disney print tipping envelopes on another post I would like to leave tips daily....thanks for the input.

When I have gone on short trips (3-4 days) I usually tip the day I leave in one large amount. But on the trips where I am there for a long stay I tend to tip throughout the trip. This way I feel like I'm giving something back for all their hard work. Also, it might not always be the same Mousekeeper every day, so I want them all to feel a little special.

We leave the tip everyday because mousekeepers may change, take days off, etc. There are three of us in our party and we leave between $4-5 per day except the day we check out.

$5 per day and do tip daily because you may not have the same mousekeeper the whole time.

Big tips go a long way towards helping your karma.

not really worrying about my karma, but we also tip daily...

this past trip we had two rooms and left envelopes for mousekeepers in both (they were connected, but you never know if the same person is cleaning both!) but never did she take both envelopes... she typically took the one in the kids' room and left the one in ours... it was very odd... so i started leaving a little more in the kids' room envelope to cover both rooms and one day she did not take it at all... (it was in an obvious place w/the words MOUSEKEEPER written on it, along w/thank you, or a note to change sheets on a bed, etc) very odd indeed...

I always tip the mousekeepers. It's something my dad taught me to do a long time ago. A little goes a long way. I usually tip $5 per day except for the day that we leave. I tip every day because I've noticed that you oftentimes have different mousekeepers throughout your stay.

My experiences have been great. Everytime we tip a mousekeeper, they do a little something special for us (so far anyway). For my parents 30th anniversary, the mousekeeper left them a little snowglobe that played" when you wish upon a star" and left little towel animals and such in the rooms. This past trip, we had "turn down" service at POR every day when we came back to the room and the mousekeeper folded our towels in little different shapes and such too. It's fun!

We tip $5.00 a day, for two of us, and we leave the tip on a daily basis.

$5 a day for 3 of us. While we have gotten a nice towel animal at AllStarMusic, we have only gotten what we expected...a clean room. When we stay on our dvc points, we tip once for the week, usually about $3-4. They only take the trash out and give us clean towels.

I make up envelopes before I leave and stuff the tip in before I leave ($ 5.00 per day). I place one envelope a day on my pillow so they find it easy.
