OK, being from the UK we only really tip for waiters and taxi drivers. We don't tip for anything else really. I gather, though, that you guys across the pond tip far more frequently. When should I tip and how much?

TIA!

I also tipped the bell services people at our resort and have also tipped the Magical Express driver.

Housekeeping at a hotel- I usually leave about $2-$3 per day (there are 3 of us, and I keep the room fairly picked-up).

Bartenders - usually give them the change or around 10% if it's more involved than beer or wine

For bartenders the general rule is $1 per alcohol drink.

Food servers 18-20% of food total.

Magical Express driver? If anything I would just give them a few dollars as they are not considered a tipped position like servers and bartenders are.

The only people I tip in Orlando are servers (typically around 20% of the bill). :)

Bell services - if you check your bags with them, tip $1 per bag. If they bring your bags to your room, tip $2 per bag.

ME driver - I tip $1 per bag that they have to handle (generally the carry-on bags). If they don't put a bag on the bus, I don't tip.

If you use the spa, you should tip the masseur/masseuse about 10%-15% of the cost of the massage; same for manicurists or hairdressers. Same for the people who do the hair braiding.

Room service will often add a tip to the bill. If they don't, tip 10% to the person who brings your food.

If you plan on getting a second drink that's not watered down, I'd suggest upping that to $2 per drink.:rotfl: Tip well from the beginning and a bartender will take good care of you.

Hi there,

I live in Orlando. The general guidline for restaurants is 15-20%.

I don't take taxis, since I live here and have a car. However, I would think it would be the same: 15-20% at your discretion.

If you are staying in a hotel, you can throw housekeeping a couple of dollars a day if you feel so inclined.

If someone is carrying your bag (bus driver, sky cap at airport, bellman at hotel), you can give them $1-2 a bag.

Have fun!

Thanks, Kika!

Now comes the lengthy process of saving up for the trip, as much as I can! Hehe, I am super psyched!
