Sooo since they are charging me a $12 delivery fee already what is an appropriate tip on $160??

Just thinking that the delivery person is probably not the owner, and won't get much of the $12 fee, and WDW is the land of tipping for everything; valet, luggage, etc. I would think if they actually bring your groceries to your room, if I were you, I'd give that person $5 or $10 depending on how hard they worked. Some will think I'm cheap, some will think I'm too generous.

Our GG delivery person brought the items right up to our room, exactly when promised. My bill was around $100, but I still gave the delivery guy $10. GG is a great service!!

For restuarants we like to go the full 20% for great service. With that in mind, a one-time delivery usually rates half of that with us, (10% of the total).

Keep in mind their delivery fee is not the same as a tip. The delivery fee is to offset costs associated with the delivery of your items. A tip is for great service to the individual.

You may wish to check over your order and then offer the tip if you are present for the actual delivery.

HTH!

Normally we tip pretty heavily at WDW, however I confess that I didn't add a tip in advance to either of our GG orders last month. A big part of me doesn't like tipping in advance given that to me a "tip" is a reward for good service. In the end I didn't feel too guilty (we weren't at the resort when either order was delivered and wasn't able to tip them personally either) as with both orders items were missing (all of our refrigerated times one time, frozen items the next) and had to be brought to us at a later time. GG was aware of the problem and was proactive in alerting us, but it was still a bit of a pain. Especially when I had to have Bell Services deliver our milk late at night after we returned to our room because we needed the milk for breakfast in the AM.
