I am going to make some envelopes to leave the housekeeping tip in each day. I know that on these boards, lots of people refer to housekeeping as "mousekeeping". Here's the question: Is "mousekeeping" what the Disney employees call it, or is that just a cute thing that Disney-aholics have created?

I believe it's just a cute way of saying it. As all other WDW employees, as I'm sure you know they're Cast Members. We leave a Mousekeeping Envelope everyday even when we stay at the Dolphin Resort.

I dont know about whether it is official but we write mousekeeping on our envelopes and leave them on the bed with my DDs cuddly toys. We usually come back to find they have put the toys in different areas of the room. Once DDs rabbit was in bed and they put do not disturb sign on the door and closed the curtains. Another time they put the remote with the rabbit and left the tv on:rotfl2: It became a fun thing and each night we went back we wondered what they might have done.

They're housekeepers. But feel free to write "Mousekeeping" if you enjoy it!!! They couldn't care less about the envelopes - it is what is inside that counts. :)

I've taken envelopes and once I just took some cute post-its and stuck those on the money. Whatever we use, I always write Mousekeeping on the envelope/post-it. I usually tip one dollar per person in the room, per day.
