Here is what FTW says about tipping. I agree with other posters, that it may be appropriate to show your gratitude to other people.

"There is a 'standard' somewhere which could be found on sites such as theknot.com or weddingchannel.com, however, these standards do not apply at Walt Disney World. With every cost, the gratuity is included i.e. DJ, banquet servers, etc. If you wish to give them something extra, that is completely up to you and the percentage is up to you as well."

I hope that this helps some people.

Oh Jonette, thanks for that! Someone else's post about tipping really scared me :earseek: I thought it, the post, was saying that I had to tip someone for the $2,500+++ I will spend just for our lunch or brunch meal and the $800+ for a dessert party. I had assumed that catering did not need tipping. I did think that music would need tipping. I also think tips for servers would be nice, but I was seeing a $500 tip for the reception, ack!

I sure would like to hear other past bride's experiences :rolleyes1

I thought for anything on Disney where food is being prepared, disney tacked on an extra 24% or something? That would be awesome if I was wrong, but I've read that quite a few places. I am confused!
