We usually bring extra gifts for people when we are away just something typical from England like biscuits or similar.

Would it be likely that our daughters and I share the same stateroom hostess. We are in adjacent rooms 7074 and 7076. That way I could take a larger gift from all of us and save on the packing space.

Chances are you will have the same one...We were in 7028, 7030, 7032, and all shared one..

I would go for it..Small chance of not having the same one.. :goodvibes

Yes, it is likely that you will share a room steward since your reservations are linked and your cabins are adjoining.

Please remember that any gift should be in addition to the tip, not instead of. Many CMs depend on their tips to support families in their home countries, etc. I realize that you said "extra" and am not trying to fault you in any way, but wanted to be clear to new readers of the boards. Have a great cruise!

Thats what we thought - could make the gift a bit larger from both stateooms obviously restaurant staff are not the problem.
Thanks for your help.

Please keep in mind that the crew members have very little living space or storage space in their tiny, shared cabins.

Also, please keep in mind that for crew members in service positions, tips = wages. Aside from around a token $50 per month, the crew members depend entirely on tips to support themselves and their families back home.

Now, having said that, a small, consumable luxury -- in addition to the monetary tip -- is likely to be appreciated and enjoyed by the recipient.

We were thinking of giving our cabin person a international prepaid calling card besides the normal tip suggested.

Calling cards are not nearly so good a gift as they once were. Many/most of the CMs have cell phones with international calling plans. For those people, a calling card would be of little value.

They do enjoy edible treats (I've been told that the food in the CM dining area isn't as good as ours!) Even something like a bag of chocolate kisses is a treat to them. There is a "fun bus" that takes them to Walmart or Target when they are in port and not working, so gift cards to those places are useful.
