I was upgraded from POP to a 1br at SSR. Do you tip more being the room is much bigger and there is a living room and kitchen? Are you tipping a dollar a person a day?

I voted before reading your full post.

As a DVC member, we did not tip when we stayed at SSR, because the cast members don't clean the rooms daily.

If we were to stay at a DVC resort & were receiving DAILY mousekeeping, we would tip $5.00/day, as we always did before we joined DVC (4 people in our family btw)

We would tip the same no matter where we stay. $1 per person per day. Now that we are DVC members we tip on the days we receive service.

I usually don't tip for Mousekeeping, but if I have a request such as extra towels, toiletries, etc. then I will tip a couple of bucks a day. But as the previous poster said with DVC there is no mousekeeping.

But if you are not a DVC member and paying a nightly rate you do get mousekeeping everyday.

1st Thats a Great Upgrade enjoy it.

We tip the same $1 perperson perday. if we request extras and are there when they bring them we tip them a few $$,If no then we will add it to that days tip.

We also tip daily instead of the end of our stay as Mousekeepers do change during your stay sometimes.

do what you feel comfortable doing.

since Disney changed you - you will get daily mousekeeping.

so I would tip $1 a day per person.

but as I say what you feel comfortable doing.

forgot one exception.

if you come back from a hard day at the parks and find your room - towel animals - watching the TV or whatever - also sometimes they will do this with stuff Disney characters.

then I give a BIG tip. (big tip for me $12)

it is worth it to watch the kids faces. Assuming you have kids.

definitely tip extra if the maid/housekeepers took the time to fix the room!!!

We don't tip at all unless the housekeepers did something out of the ordinary or we required special attention.

I usually tip $5 per day, unless they have to do something extra, and then I would give a little more.

We (2 adults) were upgraded to a 1-br at SSR, and we tipped $5 per day for daily mousekeeping.
