I have to agree.

Personally, I don't care about size, race, age etc.... and I don't really think that's what this thread is about either.

You can be whichever size and still appear classy. It's a matter of knowing what to wear in public, how to wear it.... and what to keep private. Many people couldn't care less how they look in public and unfortunately, some should care.

I too am overweight to a degree and it'll be a cold day in h*ll before you catch me showing my butt crack or my belly roll to anyone. I wouldn't even consider putting anyone through such a torturous viewing. :p But that's just me.

As for the stroller issue... heck, I'm thinking I may need one for myself when I'm there! :rotfl:

dollcollector ~ that was a priceless moment!!!! :lmao:

See, I too know many beautiful plus size people. What makes them beautiful, just like everyone else, is partly due to wearing the size they are. Not trying to fit into something 2 sizes too small. Unfortunately that fashion offense cuts across all sizes. I think this is the point the OP was making.

ITA. Doesn't matter what size you are. If the clothes don't fit or look flattering, then don't wear them.

As far as dressing for comfort - personally I would feel terribly uncomfortable if I thought people were looking at me because of how awful I was dressed.

So what if someone wants to wear a tank top or shorts. As long as all the private parts are covered who cares?

These threads annoy because I know so many beautiful plus size women who are afraid to wear nice, cool outfits in the summer.

Well, FWIW, I consider myself an attractive plus-size woman and I agree with the OP. Look in the mirror before you leave your room (I mean the universal "you", not specifically you).

Of course, this is good advice for all people, fat or thin. My DH is a big man. He takes special pains with his paeearance because, as he says, "They may be able to call me fat but they won't be able to call me a fat slob".

Yikes -- I truly never intended this to be a "fat person" thread -- I am one myself :-). This is just about fashion-sense... being comfortable and cool doesn't mean ignoring all rules about self-exposure, regardless of size. I saw many young women who couldn't have weighed 100 lbs wearing little girls pants and exposing way too much "crack" and pants so tight I needed little imagineering to know what was underneath...ugh!

I was simply trying to say, look at the rear-view and consider parks a "public place" where decorum should come into play. It's not your personal backyard :-)

As a plus sized gal, I took no offense to the OP. I agree completely!

It doesn't matter what your weight is, dress appropriately for your size and for your surroundings.

If you want your 'coin slot' showing, then wear your low cut pants to the bar, not a family venue like WDW.

I find nothing more FUNNY and UGLY than a person wearing too tight pants and a crop top. Even "skinny" girls can have those nasty rolls under those circumstances. I wouldn't even think about dressing like that if I was model thin, let alone with some extra weight on me.

So your wayyyy too visible panty lines, cellulite and butt cracks don't ruin my pictures!!! And, while your at it...leave the wife beaters at home, men!

Ugh, I just started looking through my pics and so many rear ends that should have been dressed with looser clothing, (especially spandex wearers and light khakis 2 sizes too small) that have ended up in great shots of my kids. :furious:

why don't people look in a mirror from the rear --- we see you Coming and Going, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: And, now your tushie is in my family memory book :lmao:
I don't wear tight clothes but sometimes have panty lines. I don't like my underwear up my a**. That's my choice, thank you very much. But yes have to agree I saw alot of inappropiate dresse people at the parks. Some people dress like they are working the strip in Vegas. I'm there to have fun though so I just ignore it as much as possible. :lmao: For the person that went way OT, my DD6 is small and tiny and yes she needs a stroller most days. It's no ones business if she gets tired from all the walking in the Florida heat. Even we adults get tired.

Some people need to lighten up! The OP was not making fun of plus size people! I don't care if you are a size 2 or 20. If your wearing clothing that is too small, see through, or having your butt crack out it is not appealing. :

But, I guess what always confuses me about discussions like this is - why do you care? If someone was deformed and had 3 noses coming out their face, it might be a little distracting - but does it honestly affect you?

And if THEY themselves are happy and confident, and fell good about their closing choice - whether or not you agree with it - who are you to tell them, or think, otherwise?

A holier than thou attitude? Perhaps - but I just dont get why anyone would care... truly. :confused3

I took a picture of 2 ladies butts during the castle show one year. They decided to stand up in the front row. Everyone behind them was sitting down. They were directly in front of us, so I snap theyre picture on my digital camera and tapped them on the shoulder and showed to to them. I said, "Since this is my only view of the show, I'm putting this in my scrapbook and online photo album for all our relatives to see." Need less to say, they sat down pretty quick. :rotfl2:
:lmao: That is great - I will have to remember that next time rude people are standing in front of us.

Duh, that's the whole point - the private parts are not getting covered. I'm pretty hefty myself (275lbs) but I COVER UP THE PRIVATE PARTS. And I'm perfectly comfortable, because loose-fitting shorts and t-shirts allow air to circulate and cool me off in the Florida heat, but also cover up the parts that I'm supposed to cover up.

Wow, putting the feelings of others ahead of your own comfort and pleasure... we used to call that "being considerate" but I guess it's out of fashion nowadays, huh?

Why do you care so much about what we think that you've posted multiple times in this thread to express your displeasue about it? Who are you to tell us how to think? Holier than thou goes both ways.

If you truly don't care what I think at all, you wouldn't post any reply to me - but I bet you will. I bet you'll be so steamed about my opinion being so radically different from yours that you'll write at least one post back, either telling me off, or at the very least protesting that you really don't care what I think.

Im just rather flattered you follow me from thread to thread to protest mine. :cloud9: :goodvibes

At first I thought the original post was mean, but as I kept reading, I guess the OP just didnt want the booty shots in his pics!

So.....maybe the photographer who doesnt want something in the pic ought to move around and find a better shot instead of the booty shot!

And the folks who wear the wierd, too tight, not fitting clothing, well, just start watching WHAT NOT TO WEAR on TLC...you get great tips! :)

I get what you mean. Personally it doesn't affect me. But I think the point the OP was making, which I totally understand is when it is in your face and unavoidable. The example one poster stated about the people standing in front of everyone who was sitting was what I think the OP was referring to. I don't think I am better than anyone, or holier than thou. When I see people that the OP was reffering to I just think to myself, "why". You can honestly tell me that you have NEVER looked at anyone and in your head pass some kind of judgement?

How about you check your backdrop before tacking a picture. My family and I don't wear that kinda of "garb" but because you can't take a good picture do not point fingers at the people around you. Maybe next time you will check? Or you will likely blame the sun for being in the wrong position. :thumbsup2  :thumbsup2

Yeah, that's just what I was thinking.

And if you can't you could always learn to crop your photos. :teeth:

Remember Lilo's photos on her bedroom wall? :rotfl:

I should clarify - when I said "Holier then Thou attitude" - I was referring to me

I cant say never - of course not.

However - 2 things. Ive been judged too much, myself - to do that to someone else. I know how inaccurate some of those judgments have been. And also, I dont think I would then display and voice those judgments publicly, because I know it's not a very cool thing to do. It can hurt people's feelings. A skinny person wearing too tight clothes, showing off a muffin top, still could end up hurt or insecure from comments, even one time - not even directed at THEM. Just in general...

Human nature or not - it's not something to be proud of, or announce to the world. It's something I work to eliminate from doing - kwim?

From nomuffintop.com

You see it everywhere. Britney Spears has done it. Christina Aguilera has done it. Pam Anderson has never done it. It has nothing to do with the Seinfeld episode "The Muffin Tops". What is it? Girls sporting the "Muffin Top". A Muffin Top is when the flab spills over your pants or skirt like an overstuffed muffin spills over the paper. Often, it is seen on girls squeezed into low rise pants who shouldn't be or girls in cropped tops who need more coverage. Muffin Toppers are girls who don't understand the low rise/short top look only works on certain girls. They are NOT that girl! Muffin Toppers are making a fashion "statement". A BAD one. Enough! It is time for us to speak up! Lets make a statement of our own! We CAN make a difference! Purchase and proudly display your NoMuffinTop gear and Help stop the insanity!

ETA - Muffin tops are not always bare... This gal might not be showing flesh, but it still looks horrible! Look in a mirror before leaving your room!
