Tip for families with young kids

I just thought of this after I had posted to the autograph book thread. When we went to Disney, I carried small sheets of scrapbook journaling mats to jot down things I wanted to remember. It ended up being mostly kid quotes that might have gotten lost in the shuffle. I added them to our scrapbook when we got back and it was so nice to have those memories that would have just been fleeting if I hadn't written it down at the time. They are tiny and I just tucked them into my purse with a pen so it was no trouble at all.

Some examples:
"This is the waiting part." said by my 6 year old in line for POTC. I took a picture of her in Grandpa's arms as he carried her and put them together in the album.
"Oh no! I forgot to tell Piglet I saw his move!" another one from y 6-year-old after the Pooh character dinner. It is a priceless caption to the picture of my girls with Piglet.

There were many and I know I would never have remembered it all if I didn't write it down as we went. I just thought I would share the tip for those of you in the same boat.

That's a great idea... I have a notebook at home where I write down the funny things that the kids say. (Today after pulling a beautiful roast chicken out of the oven, my son asked where its beak was!!).

That's ok, we were in Disney last month and happened to go to the one outlet mall right near disney. We couldn't find the Disney store there so we asked a gentleman who was sweeping the sidewalk if he knew where it was. He pointed us in the right direction and my son turns to my friend and goes I didn't know you could speak spanish. The guy spanish/mexican looking, but he spoke English to us. I was suprised my son who is almost 6 would have even thought of something like that. Only out of the mouths of babes.

That's a fantastic idea! I jot things down that my kids say/do all the time, but I could see it easily getting lost in the whirlwind of the vacation. I'm taking this bit of advice - thanks!!
