Just a minor tip for those considering going to either of WDW's mini-golf places (Fantasia Gardens or WinterSummerland). (we just got back)
If there is lightening in the area (which happens nearly every day in the summer), they will ask everyone to seek shelter until there hasn't been a lightening strike within 6 miles for a period of 30 minutes.
If this happens, you have the choices of:
1 - Waiting it out
2 - Get a rain-check
I advise you to ask for the rain-check.
First of all Florida electrical storms can last for hours.
Second, the rain-check is good FOREVER. It doesn't expire.
Third, you can start the course all over when you come back.
Fourth, even if you used a Disney Waterparks&More Fun day for mini-golf, which can only be done before 4pm, you can use the rain-check at any time, even after 4pm.
Fifth, there doesn't appear to be any restrictions on transferability. Can't stay to use it and have no plans to return?...Give it to a friend.
