Tip Board not showing Genie+ return times

Yes, times are back up now. This is all very interesting (and frustrating).

I wonder if they’ve done this to avoid the situation where you select Slinky Dog at 7am, get a 6pm LL return time (less than desirable), and then see at 7:11 they restocked everything, so now you can get a return time at 9:30am, so you cancel your Slinky LL, only to learn that that took so long that now the LL’s are gone again. Maybe?

I know it was frustrating to watch LL’s sell out and pick a different ride, only to see them restocked when I didn’t know the 7:11am trick (and then 7:20 or whenever the next restock was)

This has to be the exact reason. So complicated!

I also noticed that once a LL is selected, it only shows your time. This presumably prevents you from seeing that they may have restocked and there might be better times available. I can also no longer tell when the LL’s run out.

Me too JBelle 19 - I arrive Sunday. Everyone - I have a couple of questions:

#1 - Has this happened to anyone who has NOT recently updated their app? I updated mine on Monday, and this has happened to me every morning since. As my daughter hasn't updated her app I was hoping that she can be my fail safe if need be.
#2 - More importantly, has anyone heard of this happening to someone who actually had a park reservation for the day? I would assume if that was the case there would be much more of an uproar. And it must be working for some, because by the time LL slots started showing up on my phone this morning around 7:30 a couple of rides had already sold out, and others that aren't that popular were already into slots that started in the mid-afternoon.

I am REALLY hoping that I won't have any issues Sunday morning. But if so, I guess it's just a higher power telling me I'm not in charge and to go with the flow!

Maybe this was mentioned already but I found that while this is happening (times not showing) if you click into the ride it will show the return time.

It is annoying. It does seem that after about 30 minutes this time show up again.

I also can’t stand the fact that if you book a G+ it doesn’t let you for a better time and only shows your return window. I might have my kids create an account on their phone so they can check independently of ours

So basicly they have added another step at 7am. That if you want a popular ride you cant see the times so have to go in to it blind. Brilliant

This is what happens when you let everyone buy Genie+. It needs to be limited in sales. I've heard that the magic number of Genie+ sold a day is for 10% of guests have it.

Where Disney messed up is the looked at other parks charging for FP but missed the part where it has limited availability.

So very true.

If they raise the price a lot they need to remove all these arbitrary hoops we have to jump through to use it though. Imagine paying Express Pass prices and still having to wake up each day of vacation at 7am to blindly pick your first ride and then wait 120 minutes after park opening? And all the other rules and restrictions.. To be honest, I can imagine Disney doing that
