It could be a lot of different things. I get bug bites that are like that..

I don't think they're bug bites. They're more of a tiny little clear blister. Sometimes I get one tiny blister and sometimes I get a little cluster of these blisters. I've never seen any of them really pop or leak or anything. They just itch like the hell.

One of my co workers I think had that..I googled it as all I can remember is him saying it was basically like a severe form of eczema..he even did some clinical trials for a med to treat it.

Does this match what happens to your hands?

WARNING..there are pictures in the link that show more advanced/serious forms of it.

I don't know what it is, but I get it too, and it is SO ANNOYING! I find it tends to happen more when it is hot for some reason...I don't think I've ever had it in the winter.

I get those. Turns out I'm allergic to neosporin and would get those when I used it.
Or it could be an allergic reaction to a lotion.

No, this doesn't look or sound anything like what I have. Feel sorry for anyone who has that.

Yeah, me too. It has been hot/humid here the last few days and that's when it popped up. Never get it in the winter either. :confused3

If it's the same thing I have (and it sounds like it is, down to some individual bubbles, and some clusters) it's basically a form of eczema, I started getting them in my early 20s. For me, it seems to be worst in summer and winter. A dermatologist can give you a prescription lotion for it, but there are a lot of lotions that work well for me, I like Aquaphor and Vaseline Creamy- they're both extremely thick, but work well. I put those on before bed, and use lighter lotion during the day. Mine tend to peel eventually. I was very self conscious about it when I first started getting them, but now it's just an annoyance. (Mine aren't nearly as bad as those on the wiki, thank goodness!)

My co worker/friend does have it. Once the bubbles popped his fingertips would peel and get rough/bleed..etc. It was very uncomfortable and it made him feel embarrassed about his hands. Certain creams combined with something else keep it in check for him for the most part now.

I vote for eczema. I get two different types and one of them is the small clear bump.

I have a cortizone creme and it works fine to take the worst of the problem away.

Lately I've gotten a few on my face near my mouth but they usually just show up on my legs.

eczema usually is part of a triangle diagnosis.

I always had allergies, then I started getting allergy based asthma. 15 years later I came up with this really bad rash and these little clear bumps. My doctor said that if you have allergies and asthma you almost always end up with the eczema as well.

I started taking antihistimes every day. It actually seems to help a little. I also quit using regular detergent, (free and clear brands only now). I stopped using soap on the areas I break out in (arms and legs) and last but not least started using the prescription cream on breakouts as well as lotion (but be careful as too many emoilents or too heavy of creams can ironically cause eczema break outs).

Hope you find a way to control this. It's a big ol pain.

I have this as well. Mine does not look like the red scaly photos, but the clear blisters.

It actually hurts, as when I am having a bad flare up, it feels like my skin is too small for my hands. It also itches very badly, but there is nothing I can do, as I have drug and chemical allergies, so really can't take meds, and I can't use many lotions either.

Mine comes and goes, and I can tell when it's starting, as my skin gets a bit yellowish, and they pop out within a day or so. I get mine in patches all the way up my fingers. I have had other forms of eczema, but they have all gone away, except I still have the blisters, which ironically disappeared during both of my pregnancies, but came back within a few months of giving birth.

I wish you luck OP if you have this, as it can get very bothersome.

I have this, too. I had it very badly on both hands as a teenager. It comes on in small spots on my fingers infrequently now. What I have learned is that if I don't mess with the blisters, they won't itch or spread! I have a rather large area on my knee that I suspect is a large patch of these type of things. It itches like crazy, and then gets scaly and dry.

I would bet it is the Dyshidrosis. You should go see the dr. My daughter has the same thing and the pictures on the website listed are very extreme examples of it. Hers is generally triggered by stress, but the prescription creme keeps it under control.

SERIOUS ACUTE ECZEMA not your usual case:teacher:

We're you in the sun? I've had it happen when I got too much sun, I'm guessing either a sunburn reaction or a reaction to the sunscreen I used.

I get them two...I actually have a buch on my hands right now. But I have very severe eczema.

I don't do anything to treat them...they eventually go away on their own. My derm said there's no way for me to prevent them because of how severe my eczema is.

I am on Methotrexate (an immunosuppresent), zyrtec (2x day), vanicream, and 3 steroid creams for my eczema and allergies and I still get them. I've just learned to deal with them.

I'm betting it's eczema. I was just at the dermatologist a few weeks ago because the palms of my hands were covered in blisters and itching like crazy! Turns out it was eczema, which i've had all my life just never on my hands like this. They gave me a prescription cream which honestly doesn't help much. The thing that helps me the most is Aquaphor. That stuff is amazing!

I get those too!! Usually only one or two very small blisters on my ring or pinky fingers. They itch like crazy and go away on their own after a day or two. I don't get them very often, but I get them year round. I've never seen anyone about it...they don't bother me that much.

Some years ago I was experiencing the same thing - small clear blisters only on my hands. Tried the dermatologist route - didn't help at all. I was talking to my mom about it and she asked what soap I use ?!? It turns out I am allergic to Ivory soap, and that is what we had started using to wash dishes. Stopped using it and the blisters went away, never to return.
