Oh dear Tink, I was hoping I had only confused myself but it appears I've confused you as well. I am so sorry. I wrote to you to explain what I was looking for and my post seems to have disappeared into the ether. I'm going to try to remember everything I said in the first post but I'll try to shorten it. I love your children's journal pages. I definitely want pages for the various lands and I'd love it if you kept the images the same but just made the prompts more adult. If you prefer to change the images that's also fine. Please do what ever you would like with this project.
If it is easiest to keep the journaling boxes the same size and shape that is fine. If it is easy to give me a bit more room to write depending on the prompt that would be great. If you think that it would be best to have two prompts with spots to write and the original had five prompts I'm great with that but please understand I don't want you to make yourself crazy with this. Aside from the regular land pages there are several additional pages I'd like. Again if this is overwhelming or too much work don't worry about it. I'm grateful for what you have already done for me. I'm going to list the additional pages I'd like. Feel free to make the various things more than one page or feel free to combine many things on a page. Here goes...
1. At least one or two pages for
MNSSHP (please include a prompt about our costumes as this is the first time in the ten years DH and I have known each other that were dressing up) I'm not sure what the artwork is like on this page but if it helps DH and I are going as Snow White and The Prince.
2. I'd like a place to write about each of our table service restaurants. One idea was a place to write about what DH and I each ordered. Please feel free to include any prompt you like. Our ADRs are as follows:
The Crystal Palace (possibly ask about meeting Pooh and Friends)
Les Chefs de France (if you could include something about meeting Remy that would be great as he is one of our favorites)
50's Primetime Cafe (is Primetime one word?)
Sanaa
Tutti Italia
San Angel Inn
3. I'd also like a place to write about our counter service and snack experiences. It can be fairly general. Please work it in any way you think would work.
4. I'd like a place to write about The Food and Wine Festival. (we won't be drinking much wine if any)
5. I'd like a shopping page or space.
6. I'd like a page about our hotel which is Pop Century
7. I'd like an area to write about our trip to Disney and our trip home.
8. I'd like a place to write about the characters I meet
9. I'd like a place to write about favorite photo ops or best photos taken or something about photopass. Basically anything you can think of about the topic of pictures.
10. I'd like a specific place to write about Wishes, Fantasmic, Illuminations, and The Main Street Electrical Parade. They could each have their own page or be combined any way you like.
I haven't been to Disney before and I know you have so please do whatever you think is best. I love your work so there is no way I could be disappointed by anything you create for me. If all of these extra pages will be too much work I totally understand. I just want you to have fun with this. If you have strange, funny, or thought provoking prompts, that's great. The sky's the limit. I'm not sure if you needs this info but let me give you the basics. My name is Roni (f) and I'll be traveling with my DH Jim (m). It is my first trip and Jim's second (he visited Disney as a little boy) I've been wanting to visit Disney since I was five and now I'm 34 so this is a dream for me. We will be celebrating our 5th anniversary (it's really on August 20th but Florida is too hot to visit then). We will be arriving on October 23, 2011 and we will be returning home on October 29, 2011. We are going to MNSSHP on October 25, 2011. If you don't need this info please just ignore it. I don't want you to feel you have to personalize anything. I just thought it may save you from having to ask later on. I am planning on printing out this journal, having plastic covers put on the front and the back, and having it bound. Ideally I'd like my journal to be 8 1/2" x 11. If your pages are already formated in a different size please dont worry about. I will be happy with any size. If you feel up for the challenge of creating a cover for my journal when the pages are ready please let me know. I want to wait till the design is done so the cover has a similar style. Also i dont want to burn you out. I can always ask another designer for help with a cover or if worst comes to worst I'll try to cut and paste off of clip art sites on my mom's computer. I'm so excited to see what you come up with. I have a mood disorder and tangible things that remind me of good times in the past are immensely helpful. I can't thank you enough for your willingness to help me with this project. I hope I have made this request appropriately. I'm sorry to be so long winded. Oh, I printed out my Lady and the Tramp backpack tag and not only do DH and I love it but my mom asked how much I paid you for it or do you work for Disney and do designs for them. She couldn't believe you do such beautiful work for free!
