Tuesday 1st August
I woke up this morning around 6am, made some coffee and sat drinking it while watching the sunrise. It is a very peaceful location and you wouldnt think you were only minutes from the hustle and bussle of Disney. I did a spot of Dibbing on the laptop while waiting for the troops to wake up. DD was first up and decided to watch the Pink Panther DVD in bed. DS was next up and shortly followed by DH. We all had breakfast and after applying a ton of sun screen set off for Typhoon Lagoon.
We got there just after 9 and because of the early entry for on site guests it was already busy. We got a new barcode for our mug and a key for a locker then headed over to the area by Crusher Gusher. First off we did the storm slides, and had 3 goes so that we could go on each one. Next the others went on the chutes and all got water powered wedgies this area wasnt busy so it didnt take too long. After that it was back to do Crusher Gusher which was showing a 15 minute wait. First off was DS, DD & DH and they went on a 3 people ring which was quicker. They said it was fantastic and DH did a great impersonation of Shamu as he tried to get out of the ring.
When we had finished at C & G we went into the lazy river but could only go half way round as the rest of it was closed off this was due to some structural problems in the tunnel area. Next up was the lure of the wave pool and as was the tradition I got knocked off my feet and scraped both elbows on the rough bottom. (theirs not mine)
We stayed in the pool for a good while but I could see DS getting red and my shoulders felt like they were starting to burn so I decided not to stay for much longer. We had a few more goes on C&G then DS & DH went back to the wave pool while DD ate a hot dog. Just as we were getting ready to go Lilo & Stitch came by and it was great to see all the kids (and adults) hugging them both. As usual Stitch was very naughty and kept hitting people on the head or taking their hats off. We set off to meet the boys and for DD to get a tattoo - she chose a pirate one in honour of her favorite captain Jack.
We left TL at around half 12 and there were still people pouring in, back at the villa DH sat out by the pool reading, DD watched the Pink Panther (again) and DS read his Yu-Gi-Oh magazine in his room. I typed up the trip report and sorted out some of the photos.
We left the villa again around 3pm and went to the Lego store at DTD where DS & DD both bought some Lego stuff. From there we went into the Disney Store and had a look at Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. DD is looking forward to coming here on Christmas Eve. As usual the store was heaving and after looking around and doing some pin trading DH went to move the car down to the West Side and the kids and I walked to Disney Quest. It was very hot and we were glad to get inside at DQ. We like this place as there is nothing like it where we live and the kids can play games to their hearts content. We split up and DH went with DS while I went with DD.
We all met up again at the Cheesecake factory, the kids shared a chocolate cake while DH had a small portion of carrot cake
and I had a strawberry cheesecake. When we had finished we let DS and DD go off together, DD was wearing the walkie talkie and felt very important to be allowed to go around without DH or I. She called us a few times to let us know she was OK. After we had finished our coffee we met the kids down at the pinball area and from there we decided to go back to the villa as we were all tired. We made a stop at Publix where DD had some chicken. DH & I were still stuffed after our cheesecake so we didnt have anything and I cooked pasta for DS once we got home. We spent the evening helping the kids with their lego before going to bed around half 9.
