TINKGURL & XOKTENOX Conquer Walt Disney World in July~A PTR--UPDATE 8/1

Hey everyone, I somehow found my way over here through MeMom. I'm going back to the beginning to start reading but just wanted to introduce myself.

Hey! I've seen you over on MeMom's TR...glad you came over to join us :goodvibes

Oooh, I wonder what the surprise is Kristen!

And welcome to the DIS Chris! :wizard:

I'm dying to know, Sarah!

Will Heather and Brookie sing to me too?! My b-day is right before our trip! :flower3:

I'm so glad Kristen changed her flight. We were discussing it all morning and Chris gave her the a-okay to change it! :yay:

Of course, this is also a tinkgurl birthday trip too! Duhhhhhh :)

As a former CM and hopefully a future CM, I am sad to say I haven't tried many of these places. I hope that changes.

So lucky!! Being a CM is my DREAMMMM and I am pretty sure that when Chris and I retire we will move down to FL and work at WDW part time :)

My hunny's bday is Nov 22 too.

So funny!

Disney music, thats so sweet. I wonder if hunny would go for that for our far-future wedding. :rolleyes1

haha Chris would laugh at me but probably let me get away with it

Sorry to hear that, I hope he is doing much better now.

He will probably be having surgery before we go on vacation. Boooo :(

Congrats to tink's sister on graduating. I hope Tink and Kristen did very well on your finals.

Are you guys arranging a DIS meet with any other dissers while you're there? I'm moving back to Fl at the end of June and I'm anxious to meet some Dissers while I'm there before I leave again.

We both did VERY well! Thanks! We're trying to meet up with Jackie (Charleston Princess) one day and would love to meet up with you too.

im looking foward to expanding my herizon beer wise on this trip i willing to try almost all the beers at disney n make a offical thread of top ten fav

:rotfl: That's a good idea babe I think I will embark on that journey with you.

Horray for booking the 7:35am flight! Earlier is always better ::yes:: We always like getting to WDW before 11 in the morning. I'd go crazy otherwise, it's wasting the whole day!

Yesss, I couldn't agree more :)

my two favorite drinks are the lapu lapu and the frozen peach schnaps oolong tea in china at epcot. i'm not much of a peach schnapps girl but that thing is SO good! i will need someone to drink one for me since i'm preggo and can't do so. well, that plus i'm not going to disney for awhile anyway! :rotfl:

kristen - where can i find an updated itinerary for you guys? i just want to double-check what i have in your travel documents to make sure it's right. ;)

You are right!! That oolong tea is really good!! Chad got one when we went and its his favorite at Epcot!! So good!!!!!!!

Heather, I was just about to ask what Blackhouse was because I have no idea either. It must not be something we drink down here in Georgia!

Tink, I love your drink list! I may have to borrow a couple of those and add the peach oolong drink that Dawn just mentioned.

Kristen, you can bet I am having one of those Lost on Safaris on my trip in July! I have a feeling I will need it to brave Animal Kingdom in that heat! :thumbsup2

I know! lol! I started to tell Chris to just try him a PBR once he gets down here! lol!! Even though I have never had one, but I know I have cousins who love it!

Oh, and for the Urban Cowboy fans out there. Chad always wanted to try a lone star after watching that movie. So a couple of years ago we found it....at Taco Mac! haha

heather - brett (my brother) was here for his 21st birthday. we were at a concert in athens at midnight when he turned 21 and i told the bartender to give him something good, that i was paying for his first legal drink. well, he gave him a shot of really expensive whiskey and a PBR to chase it with.....only in georgia!

sorry to hijack, girls. just had to share that little story. ;)

ill be making my own mixture of drinks to share, blackhouse n fruit punch

Oh god, I'll have to deal with your drunk self then? Please don'tttttttt haha

Awww you girls are too sweet!!!!! I see in my future (in February) a few lapu lapu's and malibu macaws down my throat!! haha

Oh man I with I was able to get down there in Feb to be with you and see little miss Hannah and of course Hollie too!

What in the world is blackhouse???

It's actually called Black Haus, Chris just doesn't care enough to spell it right haha It's reeeally good I like it too and we mix it with Hawiian Punch and it's a nice yummy drink

Good move on the earlier flight!:thumbsup2 The sooner you get there the better.

Thanks! I agree! :thumbsup2

Hmmm...the most current is probably that email I sent you a few weeks ago from my work email. If you don't have it still I probably have it in my sent mail at work where I will be Monday. LMK if you need me to send it again :) I just need to give you the confirmation # for the extra dinner ressie we made for WCC.

haha Black Haus is liquor, kinda fruity tasting and we mix it with Hawiian Punch and it tastes yummy! I'm definitely in for trying the peach oolong drink too!

I'm so glad you mentioned that Lost on Safari in your last TR! Definitely one of my favorites and I agree, it will help get through a long, hot AK day :)

I know! lol! I started to tell Chris to just try him a PBR once he gets down here! lol!! Even though I have never had one, but I know I have cousins who love it!

IDK what a PBR is! This whole Northern/Southern thing is messing us up  I definitely don't know what a Lone Star or a Taco Mac is either :rotfl:

If I knew what a PBR was I'd probably be like "whoaaa" but I don't :lmao: Whiskey is grossss though so your brother is a champ lol And you're not hijacking, we always want to hear other people's stories! :goodvibes

It is a redneck type beer I think. I have never had it. But, I know its cheap and you see a lot of folks drinking at campfires and stuff from what I can see on pictures on facebook!! lol

Oh my gosh, well, when you move closer this way and head to Atlanta, I will take ya'll to Taco Mac. Its really good! Its a wing type place. Plus, they serve over 100's of different types of beer. Lone Star is a beer that they drank in Texas and it was in the movie Urban Cowboy. I love that movie! :goodvibes

As Chris just reminded me, since he is now stalking me via the Disboards, I changed our departing flight today! I think I may have mentioned this a while ago but ever since I booked a flight leaving Long Island at 10:30 I've been mad at myself since there was an earlier flight I could have booked. Earlier flight means more time in WDW. The price of the flight went up really quickly after booking so I've been arguing with myself whether or not to pay the extra for the earlier flight. We got a great deal on the first flight I booked ($89 each way) and it shot up to $137 really fast. Well today I looked on SWA.com and it was at $125...it had gone down and I finally couldn't pass it up anymore. Chris even said it was okay :thumbsup2 So for $72 extra we are now leaving Long Island at 7:35am and should land in Orlando by 10! Hopefully that means we'll be to Pop by 11-11:30 :thumbsup2 I'm so excited because obviously more time in WDW is always a good thing  :yay:

The earlier, the better. Glad it worked out for you. :)
Those fluctuating flight prices are crazy. $79 one day, $125 another...you just never know. We check them often and almost always end up with credit to carry over to another flight.

Chris, welcome to the DIS family. I hope we can meet you and Kristen on a future trip.
