Our day started out beautifully, we got a late start, but arrived at the ASMu after a 4 hour drive. We were able to find the resort very easily and when we got to the resort entrance gate we were asked for our confirmation papers. Wouldnt you know I had packed them in my suitcase on the bottom of the pile, but the guard at the gate said if DH had ID he could confirm our reservations. It took about 3 minutes and we were on our way to check in. Everything went very smooth at the front desk, there was about a 5 minute wait and we got our room immedietly. We had Jazz north side away from the pool. A very quiet room and facing a small grove of pine trees. The rooms are fine as far as size. DH and I had plenty of room to move around. We decided to check out the grounds and the pool bar, and do a little looking around in the gift shop and restaurant. The Mudslides at the pool bar are great! Try one if you get the chance.

We called it a night early, cause we were planning to go to MGM the next morning. DH set the Mickey alarm and it was off to Disney Dreamland!

At 6:30 Sunday morning Mickey woke us up with a cheery good morning and telling us "Big doin's going on, so up and at 'em"
We took Disney Bus transportation to MGM and arrived there about 9, the park gates opened a little after that and we joined all the happy folks going down the boulevard. We saw the new Sorcerers hat. I think it looks fine, just it is in the wrong place, it is odd to have the Chinese Theatre completly blocked from view. I go first thing to buy a Magical Moments pin and to redeem my coupon for the free internet pin, only to be told that they were out of the free pins!:( They couldnt tell me when they would have more so I had to wait. I have a hard time remembering the order we did everything, but I know we did GMR, Little Mermaid, Beauty and Beast, Indy, and we saw the new Walt Disney exhibit. Now that was memorable, I really enjoyed that exhibit and the movie that followed. We arent really thrill riders so no TOT or RNR this time.
Crowds were very light at MGM, so we had done pretty much everything we wanted to do there and we decided to head over to the MK and stroll around. Well, we got there and start to do a little video taping, and the cover falls off of our camera! The very nice gentle man in the camera shop works on it for a while trying to get the screw back in, but no success, so this will be a videoless trip! :(
About this time it was almost 6 and the MK was closing, so we grabbed a bus to EPCOT to look around. Crowds were very light at all the parks, but it was almost deserted at Future World, so were played around at Innoventions for quite some time, and did a little shopping at Mousegears. We left about 8 and went back to AS for dinner at the food court.

We had a really nice day, except for the camera problem. I'll get more reports up as I try to remember everything! :D

Despite the video troubles, it sounds like a delightful beginning.

Thanks for posting. Sorry about the video, looks like you'll have to rely on the old cranium for memories.LOL

Sounds like a terrific first day! You sure did a lot....3 parks...Wow...Looking forward to reading more..
