Tinkerbell starts the Wishes fireworks in Magic Kingdom. She flies when the weather is good and there are no storms or winds in the area.

If you stand on the bridge that goes from the main hub to Tomorrowland
Tinkerbell will fly directly over you. However, it is not the best vantage point for Wishes.

IMHO the best place for both wishes and Tinkerbell, is to sit at the tables along the railing in the Tomorrowland Noodle Station (or whatever it's called!). We were there this past Saturday night and DH got great video of both the fireworks and Tinkerbell!

Look for the cable in the daylight. You can see it extending from the top of the castle towards the right side if you are looking at the front of the castle. If you know where the cable is, it is easier to be watching for her after dark!

During Wishes. I always watch it infront the Castle. It is magical.

Her trip down the wire is a little bit after the beginning of the fireworks and light show -- so everyone is focussed and looking up there.

Be careful here.
Most tables at the Noodle Station have a severely blocked view of the main fireworks of Wishes.
But there are a few (very few) of the tables that ARE good for seeing the shows.
The problem is you must either KNOW exactly which ones are prime, or be incredibly LUCKY, to pick the right one.

I shot a 6-camera video recording of Wishes earlier this year and took me a couple of tries to determine which table to stake-out for the best camera position from this area.

(No, not all of the "railing" tables are good ones... in fact, many are blocked by the monoliths that are a part of the bridge that goes between the Hub and Tomorrowland.) You simply can't tell before Wishes begins which spot in the sky the main fireworks will appear (its not where you'd expect).

In addition, they do not pipe the soundtrack of Wishes into this area (you can hear it, but its muffled compared to up on the Hub and at many other good spots in the MK). And they don't turn the overhead lights off in this area during Wishes, either.

Just the lack of good sound and the fact that the CMs leave the ceiling lights on during the show are a couple of negatives to me, from the "get-go."

Hmmm. That's interesting. We must've been lucky to get a great table because our view was totally unobstructed. I admit the lights staying on was a bit distracting, but totally outweighed the discomfort of standing in the hub to watch the fireworks. We did that a couple nights before, and the hub was so crowded that I spent more of my time trying to be sure my children didn't move or get stepped on in the crowd than I did watching the show. I was also getting a backache from holding my backpack in the front to thwart pickpockets that I just didn't enjoy the fireworks that night. I much more enjoyed sitting at the table with the kids in front of me. And I didn't even notice any sound difference - just too preoccupied with the boys I guess.

You were lucky. Just didn't want everyone reading to think that they could just "pick any table" in Noodle Station a be guaranteed a great show.
