Tinkerbell's Flight Question...

Hey everybody - quick question for you. Does Tinkerbell not make her flight anymore before the MK fireworks? This is the second time we went to see her, to no avail - there were fireworks but no Tink? What gives? Thanks in advance!!

She still does it, we saw it in March, but I think right now she's getting "rehabbed".

On Deb Willis' site it was listed that Tinkerbell would not fly before FITS on May 1 and May 6 and will return with the May 10 fireworks. Sorry to hear that you missed her both times

I have to laugh because I seem destined never to see her!! What does she look like anyway?

I didn't see her either in the beginning of April. I figured since it was kind of yucky and rainy that maybe she didn't feel like waking up and getting wet!

Tinkerbell was a bit hit with my daughter for at least two trips. We would go to the bridge to Tommorowland and watch her fly right over us. Last trip my daughter asked me what happened to Tinkerbell?!? She said she had gotten big like us! Guess the effect is better if a little far away! LOL

I hope I don't mess up the magic for anyone but Tinkerbells "flight" is just a costumed cast member sliding down a cable from the top right hand side of the castle down to the roof of the restaurant (can't remember the name) immediately to the right front of the castle. It is a neat effect though especially for those "kids of all ages" that aren't expecting it.

My DH loved to try to take Tinkerbell's picture just at the right time when she took flight. He loved Tink! All his interest in Tinkerbell stopped however when the company where I work sent me to the Disney Institute for the Quality Service Program. While on tour, one of the CM told me that Tinkerbell was actually a man! He told me that men are stronger and can manage the flight's abrupt stop much better.

That is so FUNNY! Ahhhh, the magic revealed! I had no idea it was an actual person - for some reason I thought it was a light or laser or something that flew down the cable. Maybe one day I'll catch her (or him LOL).

If Tink is really a CM, what are they actually "rehabbing". Sounds kinda personal to me . . . .
