No. Right now it's nothing more than a rumor. There has been no announcement from Disney that a Tinker Bell meet and greet will ever take place, although there's every indication that it will happen sometime this year. :)

What took so long from them to want to make a tinkerbell Meet & Great:confused3

No offense to Tink lovers...in fact I am a Tink lover, but I have to say I hope Disney NEVER does this.

Tinkerbell is a fairy she is very small and flies around the parks spreading pixie dust, she is part of the magic and has her own mystery and should not be added to the Meet & Greet brigade IMHO. And I LOVE meeting characters, I just don't think Tink should be one of them.

Not to mention the fact, the few times I have seen "Giant Tink" (Disneyland Christmas Parade and Pirates & Princess Party parade) she looked nothing like Tinkerbell and was wearing the absolute worst wig I have ever seen on a Disney character. That aside though, I just don't think there is a way to do her justice in a "big" version.

I do think though, a Tinkerbell meet would be cool if they don't Super Size her, maybe you would go into a Neverland-ish room where they could have her flying around somehow, landing on people's shoulders or in their hands for pictures. They could have her sprinkle pixie dust, maybe tug someone's hair, that kind of thing, it could be a very cool and very magical experience...as meeting Tinkerbell should be. Of course, not being an Imagineer I don't have any idea how to make any of that happen, but in seeing some of the cool stuff Disney has come up with lately (Turtle Talk, the new HM, ect..) I think this would be the far better way to go over sticking a person in a Tinkerbell costume and bad wig.

I know all this may sound silly and I know if they ever do a Tink meet, I don't have to go to it (and believe me I won't) but forget about me and think of the kids. Tink is magical and she is a very small fairy. When my 5 year old nephew saw Tink in the P&P parade he immediately said to me "Why is Tinkerbell so big?" and later when I asked him if he liked the parade he said, "Yeah, but not the big Tinkerbell." So I really think they should leave Tinkerbell alone, and let her stay a fairy, flying around the parks spreading magic and pixie dust.

In our family WDW is for little girls. Our little girls love tinkerbell. It was the highlight of their dream WDW vacation last week. The fact that Tinkerbell waved at my daughter (PPP) ment the world to her. She is four and believes with her whole heart. Nothing would make me happier than for her to meet Tinkerbell.

It is little girls that believe like her that keep the magic of Disney alive. They are the heart and soul!

Rumor has it that Tink and other fairies will begin appearing in Toontown sometime near the time of the DVD release of the Tinkerbell Movie (which comes out October 28).

I must agree that she isn't very cute in person. LOL!!! Here is a picture of her in the Disneyland Parade of Dreams. It was weird to see her there.

IF they must have Tink, I wouldn't mind too much if they set it up right. She should have her own meet and greet room, and in order to get in, guests go through some kind of fun, magical process that creates the illusion of being shrunk down to fairy size, and when you get into the room, everything is super sized, like the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids movie set or A Bug's Land in DCA.

I MUCH prefer WaltD4Me's suggestion, but I doubt Disney sees something like that as an option. I'm getting the feeling that the average guest is most interested in a face to face meeting with Tink, even though IMO she is at her most magical as a tiny and mysterious fairy, and should always stay that way.

When have you ever seen a mouse the size of Mickey?

Yikes! This picture makes my point. Is this really what you'd want to find if you went to meet Tinkerbell?

When have you ever seen a mouse the size of Mickey?

Never, but I've never seen a mouse in red shorts and yellow shoes either.
Mickey is different. Mickey was never portrayed as being small, he's always been
what he is. And Flik? Comparing Flik to Tinkerbell? Seriously?
