Anyone seen the new Tinkerbell movie yet? What did you think?

We watched it as a family with DS, 4, and our baby (7 mos).
My son, who has a short attention span, loved it and so did we. It was really really good. My nieces 6 & 3 also loved it.
The neat thing about it is that there are both male and female characters, so even though it's probably more for girls, boys will enjoy it.

Glad to hear a :thumbsup2 . I managed to sneak a copy into my cart at Target without DD noticing...I'm saving it for our flight down. :woohoo:

just watched it we had preordered it from Disney store. My daughter wanted to watch it again its cute.We got the cutest necklace and book with it.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We just watched it here too. Came with wings...so wonder what DD wants to be for Halloween now!!
Its adorable and the ending is just perfect (I won't give it away!). I wonder why this was released directly to DVD and not in theatres...it would have been fun to go to the movie theatres to watch it.

After I saw it, I also wondered why it was direct-to-DVD. It was really cute, and the story was interesting and kept my attention. :thumbsup2:

Ohhh, I have to wait. I'm saving it for the drive down in a few weeks.
I'm anxious to see it and how they have Tink talk, it kind of seems wrong so I am anxious to see how they work that.
Glad it was goo, I will have to be paitent.....

I am curious about where you all got wings or a book to go with it? Was that a pre-order thing?

I am not sure about the wings, but if you preordered it from the Disney Store you got a book and necklace. Of course, most stores ran out pretty quickly!

We watched it yesterday and it was really cute. There will be 3 more tinkerbell movies. Supposedly, one a year for the next 3 years.

I bought it yesterday morning and we watched it with my mom after the kids came home from school. It would have been amazing (so many beautiful scenes) to see in a theater!

The wings came with the DVD. I bought it at ToysRUs but I'm in Canada (Montreal) so not sure if that was a promotion here. There weren't that many wings behind the counter so I have a feeling it might have been for the first customers.

I have preordered it BUT I think mine is going to be a stocking stuffer. I know it is going to be so hard to keep Alicia from watching it. But here is the other hard part. I want to save it after Christmas for our plane trip from Oregon to Orlando! last time we went we saved Curious George for the trip. They do so good with a new movie and I know they will love tinkerbell.

So now I just have to keep her from hearing too much about it being out, keep her from watching it and then save it a week after Christmas. :) Hope it works.:rotfl:

After I asked that question, I checked our Walmart and they had a cute little purse to go with the DVD in a set. I think I will check around a bit more before I purchase. Thanks for all the answers!

Everybody has the same idea as me! I preordered on Amazon ($15.99!) and it was shipped the 26th I guess. But I am saving it for 11/14 when we have a 3.5 hour drive to the airport.

Pre-ordered from Amazon as well. We received it and watched it yesterday with DD2 and DS3.5. They both loved it, and the first thing my son said was "Can we meet them at WDW now?!!?" Funny you should ask... no one has a good marketing campaign down like Disney! :rotfl:

I thought this movie was REALLY well done! I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, and I too wondered why they sent it straight to DVD. The images are very pretty, the music is nice as well, and the ending is soo sweet. I am happy that they didn't make Tinkerbell as sassy and rebellious as she is in Peter Pan and Return to Neverland.

My BOYS loved it!;)

We all loved it, too! My DD (4) watched it again today, and even my son and DH watched a little. Beautiful scenes!

Looks like the movie critics are giving it really good reviews too. Some of the reviews I saw were saying it should have gone to the big screen too. That would have been great. DD, 2, has not been to her 1st full length movie yet (just a 3-D Imax which she loved), and I bet this would have been a great one for her as I'm guessing there isn't anything really sad (i.e. a death) or overly scary. Those of you who have seen it, could you let me know if you think there is anything I need to fast forward. From the reviews I have seen, I don't think there is, but DD can be really sensitive (thanks again to the Disers who told me exactly when to fast forward in Ariel's beginning). I have got to get to the store to go get it! I'm impressed by those of you who have the will power to wait to watch it. I want to see it now!

I am so glad to read all the great reviews. I left work sick today, DH has to work late tonight and I am looking for something to entertain the kids. I am now going to pick them up, get a pizza, popcorn and the Tinkerbell DVD. Hopefully this will keep them occupied until it's time for bed. :cloud9: And I can get some rest.
