When we went to Disney in December and tried Photopass, in one of the pictures in front of the castle the photographer had us hold out our hands together palms up, we didn't know why, but when we looked at the pictures on-line we saw they put Tinkerbell in our hands!

My niece wasn't with us at the time and she kept saying how she was sad she missed Tink.

Fast forward to last week back at Disney, I took my niece (just turned six)and stopped in front of the castle for a picture. The photographer was SO nice and he told her to put out her hand, then after he snapped the picture, he said "Ooops, there she goes, did you see her?" -- My niece was so thrilled and excited!

But now for the REALLY cute part.........I got seven rolls of film back today from our trip and as I am looking at them, there are about five pictures of my niece holding her hand out, palm up! -- Dummy me, I didn't get why she was doing it at first, but then it hit me...she was holding out her hand for Tink! :goodvibes She isn't even doing it with her hand right out in front, in all the pics she had her hand sort of down and to the side, almost like she is being sneaky about it! I didn't even notice she was doing it when I was taking the pictures! LOL!

My brother has all kinds of fancy photo software, so I am going to take our picture from December and see if he can take that Tink and put her in a couple of the shots I got back today. My niece keeps calling me to see if I got the pictures back yet and now I know why she is so anxious to see them!

That is soooo Cute!! :)

When we went, I had NO idea about the Super Imposed Tink. I wondered why the photographer had my daughter put her palm up. I was thrilled when we got home and Tink was sitting on her hand. She was so excited about Tink anyway because Tink came and left little gifts under her pillow every night. So Tink appearing in a photo when we got home just took the cake! My DD was wowed by how quickly she flew in and out without being noticed!

Good luck with getting Tink into some of your other photos! :wizard: Thanks for sharing!

A little OT, but, how do you do the Photopass thing? I'm STILL confused about it--I think it's a senior moment at 36 :confused3

For Photopass, there are photographers all around the park in key picture places (like in front of the Castle, in front of Tree of Life and the big hat at MGM - they are also at the character meet & greets and at the character meals) Go up to one and ask for a Photopass card (it's like a credit card) then every time a Disney photographer takes your picture, they swipe the card and the picture will be on their website for you to look at when you get home and you can order the pictures you like and not the ones you don't.
You only need one card for your whole trip -- be SURE to write the card number down somewhere in case you lose the card!

The Photopass thing is a great idea, but don't rely on it only! Some of our pictures were great, some not so great and some just plain bad. Be sure to still bring and use your own camera. Out of the 21 Photopass pictures we got, I think I am going to order four of them. They are NOT cheap, $12.95 for a 5x7, but if order more than $40 worth right now you get 20% off.

You can add cute borders and icons to your pictures too on the website.
The address is www.disneyphotopass.com -- you can go there and read it about how Photopass works too. Hope this helps! :wave2:

Thanks so much for that info!! I have a friend going with us and she wants to do this for most of her pictures. She is giving the kids cameras, but she doesn't want to be strapped down to one. I, on the other hand, LOVE taking pictures! So I have lots of film. BUT, I am a Tinkerbell FANATIC and would love to have that picture!! Can you specifically ASK for that or do you have to just take your chances?

I would LOVE to see one of those pics with tink in someones hand!! Can anyone post one of those??

What a cute story!!!! I hope you can get the photoshop to work on some of her hands out poses. :goodvibes

I'll try and save you a step...

The above image is already "transparent". Shrunk down it should look quite good added to a photo. I have been doing this for a few years now and don't limit yourself to just adding Tink. I remember making a picture a couple of years ago with something like 35 characters ;)

Good luck!

Sometimes it's the subtle things that make all the difference :)

That's a wonderful idea! Do you know of any easy ways to get as high resolution as possible character images? (Probably a little tough, given copyright issues, but I *so* want to Photoshop some characters into our recent WDW trip)

Amazing!!! Love the sillouette of Tink on the lamp. Looks good. Wish I had PhotoShop.

There is no really easy way. You pretty much have to beg for them or know someone ;)

Fun! Instead of working, I'm playing with Photoshop! Thought you might like to see what your contribution has generated. Here are my DD's from our trip last month:

Time to start collecting images...

Sometimes you have to beg and plead when you get back to get them to add tink. Our girls are standing there holding out their palms and no tink! They finally got it straight and it is cute. Even cuter was baby Simba at AK!!

I would also like to know how to get our picture taken with our hands out and tink included. My daughter would love this. We are going to be celebrating my daughters 8th birthday while we are there. Can you ask a CM to do this for you???

OOOOOOH! This is so fun! Thanks for the ideas!! Here's a couple I've been playing with :flower:
