I heard a rumor a while back saying to expect to see Tink in the parks sometime during the upcoming "Year of A Million Dreams" celebration. Now hearing this one, it sounds like it just might happen. Hope she starts appearing soon.

Now this sounds like a cute idea! - I've always been against a giant Tink roaming the parks, (I mean, she's a fairy...and if they had her "normal" size fo meet and greets, I think it would ruin the pixie dust! ) but if they did something like this it could be cute!

i think it's unfair NOT to have Tink. i mean, they have the fairies from Sleeping Beauty walking around. and they have all of the Toy Story characters walking around and they're supposed to be about the same size as Tink as well. Tinkerbell is a huge icon of Disney, i'm surprised it's taken this long.

Lilo and Stitch are also supposed to be really small. Stitch is supposed to be about the size of a small dog.

and most of the Pooh characters are supposed to be small also considering they're supposed to be stuffed animals.

Pinniochio(sp??) is supposed to be a puppet and he's taller than me.

Timon, Chip, and Dale are also supposed to be these small animals but are taller them me half the time also.

you know what else i also found kind of funny? the "human" sized characters that wear masks! like Capt. Hook or The Queen of Hearts. if they can get face characters to look like Peter Pan and now Jack Sparrow, couldn't they get some to look like those guys too??

I think it would be cool to have Tink have her own greeting area like Ariels Grotto. Then they could have everything blown up huge like at the Honey, I shrunk the kids playground. Huge Thimble, Huge Lantern...like that. I'm not sure what she should look like. Face character wise...you would have to get a very specific looking person (elf looking like the kids in Santa Clause) to play her or do a costumed masked character.

What I heard (and I can't recall if I read it somewhere or heard it on a podcast) was that you would walk through an area where everything around you got progressively larger so by the time you meet Tink, you are fairy sized too, and your surroundings are huge. Whether this is true or not I have no idea...I can't even remember where they said it would be. Might just be a rumor, but if it is it sounds like a great idea anyway!

I read the same article on Mouseplanet that they had been casting for a Tinkerbell. The guests would walk through a special pixie dusting area that allows them to shrink down to meet Tink Sounds very cool,

This was one of the early ideas for the 20K area. You would have walked thru a forrest, been pixie dusted along the way, and at the end Tink would greet you while sitting in her lantern.
