Pete,
Because I am a music teacher - I wanted to let you know the drum on the drum roll is pronounced TIMpani. (accent the first syllable.)
You probably know it better by the kettle drum. It is the big one that is similar to a bass drum sound but you can change the pitch of a timpani. A large orchestra could have as many as 5 kettle drums - all tuned to a different pitch.
Most small symphonic bands or orchestras have two.
That is your music lesson for the week. Now we take you back to your regularly scheduled podcat.
Love the sound effects by the way!
