Timonium/Hunt Valley, MD - Preakness Dining???

For the past 20 years, we go to Preakness and stay in Hunt Valley. We have our favorite Baltimore places to dine but haven't found anything we like in the Hunt Valley/Timonium area.

Any suggestions from locals? We aren't looking for fine dining, just something mid range that's not a chain. A good brew pub would be just fine also. Don't want to deal with Preakness weekend evening traffic, so we would like to stay (Thursday evening) in the Hunt Valley vicinity.

Marylander here...our favorites are Hightopps, Corner Stable, The Oregon Grille, Au Poitin Stil and Milton Inn. Although the Milton Inn is probably more fine dining but it has a terrific ambience and great food.

Thanks so much! The only place we have tried before is Corner Stable. Parking is tough but the ribs fall off the bone. Very good!

We always go to Oceans Pride on York Road for crabs after the Preakness.

If you already have a trip to Ocean Prise planned than the Still is probably your best bet. If you're looking for something quick bit delicious try Andy Nelson's.

If you want some good crab cakes and don't mind a little drive into the country, head north and go to Friendly Farms!
