Timing with MDE and breakfast plans-help!

1. How easy and quick is it to get a cab at one of the Disney hotels? (And is Uber available?)

2. We have 9:40am reservations for Ohana and our flight was just moved 3 hours earlier (thanks Delta - not!). Our flight is now at 3:30pm. I think we should be OK going to breakfast and then grabbing a cab (or Uber) back to Pop Century to catch the DME. Will this work for us? Or is there no way we're getting back in time for the DME?

3. Can you catch a DME from a hotel other than the one you are staying at if you do the airline checkin at your original hotel?

I think you will be fine. DME will pick you up from POP around 12:30 pm (they can't pick you up at a different resort). Yes, you can grab a cab or uber back and forth from POP and Poly. I would be heading out of Poly by 11:30 am just to be on the safe side. We took uber a lot on our last trip and never waited more than 5 minutes for a car to show up. It was AWESOME!

Expect to be seated late at Ohana. We had a 9:30 ADR last trip. We weren't seated until 10. This is normal. I think you'll be fine getting a cab or Uber back to Pop and making it to DME by 12:15, but check your bags/check in BEFORE going to Ohana. Ask for the check AS YOU ARE SEATED (unless you're ordering breakfast cocktails , then this won't work).

The other thing that you may want to do is use Resort Airline Check in (RAC) at Pop and bring your carry ons with your to Poly. Then take Uber directly to the airport. If my memory serves me it's about $25 for the trip.

On a side note, I do believe there is a rule that the airline have to change you fee free to another flight if the change they made is over a certain amount of time. I would give Delta a call and see if maybe you could switch to an afternoon flight.

Unfortunately, the flight they put us on IS the latest flight. Weird how they just cancel a flight like that. We'll deal with the change and hopefully we'll be ok with our Ohana plans.

If you're worried about the late breakfast (or Ohana running behind which does happen frequently), I'd keep checking for earlier ADRs especially closer to your date (even the day before). I'm always amazed at ADR availability just a day or two before once I'm on site.

No guaranties of course, but worth a shot.
