Hi,

What would be your guess on how long it would take to get to GF after watching the MK afternoon parade in Frontierland? I'm thinking we would leave via Adventureland and walk through Main Street shops to get out, and then take the boat launch over to the GF. Not sure how often the launches run or if it would be better to do the monorail. We have an ADR for tea at 4PM.

Also, if anyone knows, how much of a "grace" period do they give you on an ADR?

Thank you!

1. Take the launch. The monorail would take longer.
2. You might just make it on time, if there are no delays.
3. For meals, 15-20 minutes, or so. (It can vary greatly by time-of-day, location, crowd conditions.)
But, for something more "time specific" like the Tea at GF, I would not want to be late by more than 5 minutes.

If you walk through the shops on the Adventureland Side (right side as you are looking at train station) you may not get across at the end of Main Street. The floats go backstage by the fire station and it may be blocked off with no access until the parade is over.

If you definitely want to get out, from Frontierland, walk through Liberty Square and up into Fantasyland, directly behind the castle and come out on the tomorrowland side so you have free access to the left side of Main Street.

That would not be the case before close to 3:30PM.
The FoF parade starts in Frontierland and doesn't reach Town Square until about 3:25-3:30.

The OP should watch the parade very deep in Frontierland (near Pecos Bill's restaurant.)
By the time the FoF "ends" at the far end of Frontierland, it's "head" would only be about the Castle Hub area. That's far from exiting at the Fire Station.
If the OP walks with determination through Adventureland and up Main St. (inside or outside the shops) their party would pass through Town Sqaure ahead of the parade.

Thank you all! I especially appreciate the map.

I also debated whether or not to try the train around the MK as an exit but I think it would be too iffy with it's arrival/departure. I'm guessing it comes around at the Frontierland station every 15 - 20 minutes or so. I am trying to adjust our ADR to a little after 4PM but I don't see a time I could use (one that is available is just too late for other reasons). I'll keep in mind the timing for doing our escape!

Thanks again -

For whatever it's worth, I'll add that if your plans would allow, and you are able to get even a 15 minute later ressie, consider watching FoF from the train station on Main street. The floats in this parade are Huge and best viewed from up high. If you watch from the top of the stairs you'll have a great view and already be positioned at the front of the park for a quick escape.
