Timing/Seating for Eat to the Beat..

DH wants to see all 3 shows in the same night of the same band. Is this a ticketed event? Are there seats or you just kind of stand around? How long does each set last? If we were to plan a dinner - what time would be best to do so? Thanks in advance!

I don't know the EXACT length of time between shows or how long they are, I seem to remember 30-45 or so minutes between sets? but if you wanted to do dinner, it would be quick service and back to the theater....

Its not a ticketed event. You get in line, once they let you in, you grab your seat. If its a popular group, expect HUGE line ups. For Boyz II Men, wow, it was absolutely insane. I have never seen a longer line up than that. I wasn't expecting to get a seat at all because i was pretty much at the end of the line, but I was lucky! I got a seat up close. It was a great concert.

Yes its first come first serve. I dont know how it works if one person wants to leave to grab snacks while the other stays at the seats.

Im guessing he'll be asked to leave and get back in line. Imagine if everyone were to do this, half the people in the audience might stay for the second show (not leaving a lot of seats for other people who want to watch). But perhaps someone who has actually tried this can say for sure.

Thank you - that's what I thought. Hopefully for him, seating for 1 won't be a problem.

If you make a dinner reservation at certain resturaunts you can get preferred seating to I think the 8:00 show, we got one for 5/21 to see the Guess Who. If you are an AP holder you can get preferred seating by going by a place behind the Coca Cola store in Innovations to get it. These passes usually have you line up to the right of the stage if you are looking at the stage and they allow you first seating under the cover closest to the stage. Once the line is seated then they open up the area to everyone else on a first come first serve basis. Each show is about 30-35 minutes which gives you time to exit the area grab a drink and have plenty of time to get back for the next show.

You do have to exit after each show and re enter after they seat the group with preferred seating.

You can stand right behind the last row of seats (there will probably be a rope across limiting access to the actual seats) or even sit at the American Pavilion fountain if he doesn't have to be really close for each of the shows.

You have to leave and line up again after each show. For some shows, people will skip the first show to line up for the second or skip the second to line up for the 3rd but the theater is pretty big and as long as you are not behind a tree you should be able to see very well and can hear it even from nearby areas.

30-35 minute shows
For the first show at 5:30 the theater is open so you might see some people sitting there as early as 2pm to get the best seats.
After each show they clear the theater and you have to get in line
you can save seats for others or a space in line within reason,what happened to us once when two guys were in line in front of us and we were maybe 6-7th in line overall and then when the set finished there must have been a dozen women who jumped in line with them,that's not cool!!
for the Garden Rocks concerts they had a space reserved for those who bought the dining plan and a space for passholders who are able to acquire wristbands for a particular show by going to a booth near club cool.Don't know if theyll do that for Eat to the Beat.The dining plan is not very popular for these concerts,more people do get them for the 3-4 more popular groups but overall not a lot of people opt to buy the dining plan.One year they even had a FP option for the concerts,don't know if they'll ever do that again.

You don't have to get the Dining Package to get the reserved seat. You just make a ADR for any of the Epcot locations listed and at you dinner they give you a pass for the 8:00 show. We are eating at La Hacienda at 5:30 on Monday 5/21 but we are paying OOP. They have the same thing for River of Light at AK, and Fantasmic at HS.

If you are not doing a Dining package, I would expect to get in line early to be able to get a seat. Depending on the group playing, I have seen it be standing room only with rows of people standing behind the seats, to the seating area barely half full.

thank you all - keeping our eyes open for the dining package so he'll be set in a good spot for at least one show. thinking it'll just be him, a seat of 1 may not be TOO hard to find. then again i guess as others have said, it depends on the performer.
