Timing Question

My family and I will be arriving at 5:30pm into Tampa on Valentines Day. We have to pick up a rental car at Alamo. We have a 7:50pm reservation at Ohanas (mainly in an effort to see the fireworks that night). I'm beginning to think I should cancel this reservation, we should just check into our hotel (Swan), walk on the Boardwalk and not rush, rush, rush. What do y'all think?

IMO I dont think you'll make it. If you plane lands in Tampa at 5:30 it will take a good 20 minutes to get down to the car rental area and get the car. And that's not counting any time to pick up baggage if you chck any. Then its a good hour and a half to Disney if not more, depending on traffic. To be honest I dont know if you would make it in time to see the fireworks, but if you just want to eat at Ohana, I'm sure they would accept you after your PS time.

Thanks for the reply. Ran this past my DH today (in an email, that is how overbooked he is~!) and he wrote back that rushing doesn't sound like fun to him, so I am cancelling that reservation today. I will post here about it in case anyone wants it-it was hard to come by!
