Timing question for Mickeys Magic Map

we arrive at LAX around 2:30, using Lanskysto get to our resort, Desert Inn and Suites, doing a very quick grocery stop. If I remember correctly, Magic Map's last two shows, that Monday, are at 5:15 and 6:30. And it's the only day it's scheduled during our stay.
I loved it when I first saw it last Dec, and know my dd will love seeing it. So, question is...will we be able to catch that last show? If we go directly there?
Thanks.

You used to be able to take the train from the front of the park and get off right by the theater, but it's closed so you won't have that option.

Someone else will have to answer how long it will take to get there from LAX. I see no reason not to try. It's not like it's a separately ticketed event you would lose out on.

It is a good show. We like it too.

When I flew into LAX late on a Friday evening, it took about 45 minutes to get from the airport to Disneyland (without any traffic issues). I would probably add some time to that to be safe because 2:30 pm on weekday is likely to experience some traffic (the LA area always seem to have traffic!). So, I would guess you can probably get to Disneyland in time to make the last showing of Mickey and the Magical Map. I would plan the grocery stop close to Disneyland (e.g., like the Target on Harbor) so that you can judge for yourself whether you have time or not to make the stop and then get to the parks.

Figured that if we land, on time, at 2:30, we could possibly be at the DIS by 4:30. That 'should' be okay for the last show, right?
And we don't need much at the store. Some water and munchies, so shouldn't take more than 15-20 mins.

AS long as you're back by the theater 15-20 minutes before showtime, you're good (earlier is better if you want really prime seats).

My dd and I have very long legs...we can be quite speedy! Her boyfriend? Not so much. Ah well, he'll just have to try to keep up.

Are you checking luggage? 2 hours seems very ambitious to me considering the drive, time to check in/drop bags at your hotel, then walk to/get in to Disneyland. But like I always say, where there's a will, there's a way!

Yes, we have checked bags. I'm figuring 2 hrs would be the best time. The last time we were picked up, made a quick grocery stop and were dropped at the GC, it was just about 2 hrs.
If it takes another 30 mins or so, we should still be ok. I could even leave my dh at the hotel to get checked in if need be. He might even be thrilled with the alone time by then!!!
I'm hoping that if I can be walking into DL by 5:30, we should be ok if we hurry back to the theater area.

Ha, I've been in the back corner of DCA 20 minutes before the show and made it to Magical Map on time... With a stroller. You'll be good.

We inadvertently were a couple of minutes late for the Magical Map and managed some really great seats towards the back of the theatre. And that was last week when it was crazy busy. I think you can make it without too much trouble. Enjoy. We love that show!

Thanks everyone. I'm hoping we make it. I loved the show and think my dd will as well!! This is her college graduation gift! Then she starts DCP in WDW in Sept!!
I may even bring my light up paintbrush!!!
Thanks again.
