How soon before your trip do you need to sign up for the Dining Plan? We have a split stay at ASSp and POFQ. We got the AP rate for the ASSp and are waiting for AP rates for June for POFQ. If they don't come out with AP rates we were thinking of going for the Dining Plan for the second part of the trip.

TIA

DDP is an option with the Magic Your Way Package. It requires purchase of a pass (as little as one day) and rack rate for the room. If you have AP's are you willing to still purchase another ticket? If not, I don't believe you can add DDP to your ressie.

If you decide to buy the extra 1 day ticket to make it a package to purchase the DDP, keep in mind that, by making it a package, the balance on that portion of the trip is due 45 days before check-in (or immediately, if less than 45 days). As to when you have to add it, people have been told various things. The shortest time seems to be 2-3 days prior to check-in, but most people recommend at least 5.

If you're considering trying the DDP because there are specific restaurants at which you'd like to use them, you may want to make ADR's now, just in case. You can always cancel if you end up not going with the DDP and don't want to pay OOP for them, but it would be a bummer to purchase the DDP at the last minute and then not be able to get in where you really wanted to eat.

Typically the instruction is to be sure you've added the Dining Plan to your MYW package at least three days prior to your check-in.

Thanks for the replies. My traveling companion works at an accounting firm, so she is still a little crispy. We are going to wait and see until the first week of May for AP rates. We will purchase a one day ticket and use it toward a new annual pass later on. And we already have our ADRs made.
