Timing for HS meals?

I am still working on our HS plans (boy is this Park tough with the shows!) and have booked 50s Prime Time at 11am and Sci-fi diner at 4pm. Breakfast will be a pastry or cereal bar, 2 boys ages 9 and 4, both are new restaurants for us. We are planning on rope dropping and staying through Star Wars fireworks, so the meals will serve as breaks, and I'm hoping ds4 will take a stroller nap around 2pm. I thOught about going back to the hotel for a break, but I think the kids will want to swim and then I have no chance of ds4 being awake for fireworks. Are these meals spaced too close together? I have no leeway for a later meal with either place (no availability), I would have preferred closer to 5pm for dinner. There will most likely be milkshakes involved at both meals :). Does this timing seem unreasonable? We are fast eaters so I figure about 75 minutes per meal. Thanks for your help.

For me they would definitely be too close together. The portions are very large at 50's Prime Time and I honestly would probably only want a larger snack much later for dinner. I have never been to Sci-Fi however I have heard they have very good desserts so you could always keep that ADR time and just get dessert to experience the atmosphere. If you don't want to do that then I would recommend canceling and either trying to get an ADR around 6:00 or just planning to eat a counter service.

I think they are too close together. 50's PT meals are very filling. If you really want to try both, and working on the assumption that you will be there with another adult, maybe you and the other adult can share a meal at lunch and then have a full meal each at dinner, or vice versa. This way you can get the break at the restaurants but not be too full.

Too close together and 4 PM is too early for dinner. Plus if your 4 yo sleeps at 2 in the stroller will he wake up and want dinner right away? I would just do QS later if you can't change SciFi to later. Keep checking, things do open up

I agree with the PPs. The meals are too close together. The portions at 50sPT are huge and very filling. When I book that one for lunch, we either have a very late dinner or just skip dinner and maybe have a small snack later. I'd recommend either canceling one, or maybe doing what a PP suggested and just doing dessert at Sci-Fi. At a minimum, move the Sci-Fi ADR later.

My husband and I will go to each place each time we are there. Granted, we are in our 50s but we share a meal at 50s and will not eat for a long while before Sci Fi and the burgers so, yes, I would say the meals are way too close together.

I would agree that the meals are too close together. We try to space our meals out far apart because we have experienced being sooo full from eating too close together. We found ourselves with very little appetite by the time we sat down for dinner. If you do keep your reservations that close together, I would avoid any snacks in between. Both places are fun places to eat. 50's Prime Time has better food, but the Sci-Fi has great atmosphere. The fried chicken dinner at 50's Prime Time is very good. Good luck & enjoy.

I agree that they are too close together because you won't get out of 50's before 1 then going to sci do 3 hours later for a big dinner would just be so much and personally I wouldn't probably be hungry until late at night after eating at 50's they have huge portions there

Sorry I meant that you will not be done at 50s by 12 because whenever I've gone there as just a party of 2 it has taken over an hour and we often share a meal so with a whole family it would take even longer
