Timing for Chef Mickey's from Dolphin

I am not too sure where to ask this question. Here under transport or under resorts.

Here goes:

We are due to arrive in Orlando at 1:48 on a Saturday afternoon in late April.

I was hoping we could usher in our arrival with a celebration at Chef Mickey. Between transportation to the Dolphin, check-in (I don't exactly remember if it was 3 or 4 pm), transportation to the Contemporary, my daughter being 5 y.o. and with an early bedtime, and EE to MK the following morning, I wonder what would be a safe time for a PS that evening.

Any suggestions?

It somewhat depends on if you will have a car or not. If you have a car, a 5:30 PS should be fine. If not, more like a 6:00 PS. To get from the Dolphin to the Contemporary via Disney transportation can be a bit challenging. To not "burn" a day on your admission ticket, you could get there one of two ways. One, would be to take the boat from the Dolphin to MGM, then take a bus to the TTC, then monorail to Contemporary. Another way would be to take the bus from the Dolphin to DTD, then take the bus from DTD to the Contemporary. Depending on timing, all of this could take 40 minutes, or more. Another option, walk out the front door of the Dolphin and hail a cab.

We took the bus to the MK from the Swan and then the monorail to the Contemporary. (or once you get to the MK - you could walk on the walkway)

Keep in mind that often the Swan bus then goes to the Dolphin and then the YClub and Beach Club. I would plan at least an hour or maybe more to get there. (especially if you just missed the MK bus)

If you have a car, I would go that route because then you are in control of your destiny. If not, plan for the worst and if you get there extra early - you could always check out the resort.
