For all you AK/AKL experts.....if I want to see the 4:00 pm parade at AK, would a 5:30 ADR for Boma give me enough time to exit the park after the parade and ride the bus to AKL for dinner at Boma? Thanks!!

We did it a few weeks ago, but we had our car,as we had checked out that morning... we made it with 10 minutes to spare, and Boma didn't seem to be extremely busy at 5:30... for the parade, we stood directly across from the big 'info board' (don't remember what it's really called) that shows the show times, etc. on it. We were out of the park about 3 minutes after the last float went by.

Not sure about the buses (though I've never had anything but good luck with bus service).... but standing in that area would still be a good quick exit.

We had the exact same plan as you, but decided not to take any chances, so I rearranged our itinerary so we wouldn't have to bolt out of AK to get to AKL (by bus). Now our AR is at 6.50pm which gives us some time to see a little more of AK before heading to dinner. We're a party of 10 and with so many of us, I just didn't want to chance it.

Somebody said that feeding times at AKL was 5:30 so we're going to try for 6:30 ressies (whatever!) -- so we can do the parade, watch the feeding and then check in for dinner, probably early, but maybe a bit later...

Seems like a good way to pass the time especially if they don't run on time at the restaurant.

Although I really liked the bus service at AKL, I thought it could be slow sometimes! They're supposed to arrive every 20 minutes, but there were times when we'd just miss the last bus and would end up waiting a half hour. It didn't bother us at all, but you might want to be aware of it.

Thank you for all your replies. It's just me and my 4 year old this time but I decided that was still a little close so I re-booked for 5:50. If I don't need the extra 20 minutes we can spend the time looking at the animals. Anyway it'll be there just in case. Thanks!
