I'm trying to figure out when the best time for us to go next year. I really want to see all the Xmas things, but I also want to do the Food and Wine at Epcot. About when do they put up the Xmas decorations? Thanks

Plan on the very last weekend of Food and Wine and stay for as many days beyond that weekend that fits your schedule. You'll see the parks decorated but may or may not see all the gingerbread displays at the Deluxe resorts.

I believe that the 2014 Food and Wine Festival ended around November 10, and the first MVMCP was November 7. Magic Kingdom would be decorated for Christmas for MVMCP, but the other parks don't put up their decorations until later. You would probably have a few days of overlap between F&W and MVMCP next year, but the only park that would be fully decked out for Christmas that early would be MK.

DHS is decorated, too.
Osborne Lights begin the same time as the first MVMCP.

(**However, that may or may not be the case next year, as we still don 't know if the O-Lights will be losing their "home" if the Streets of America are going away.)

**All we have are rumors.

I know the MK resorts weren't finished decorating until later in November. WL was done on Nov. 23rd.

Food and Wine ends November 9. Unless you stay awhile you will probably not see all resorts or parks decorated besides MK. Holiday "events" in other parks won't start until the day after Thanksgiving; their big trees might be up a couple of weeks before that.

MK will be decorated for the parties but the big tree won't go up until after the parade taping.

Osborne Lights would probably be open if the rumors don't pan out, and some DHS decor out.

We went Nov 9th-15th this year so our first two days were the final two days of F&W. During that week we watched them put up the Grand Floridian gingerbread house and it was done by the 13th or 14th. It doesn't "open" until later in Nov as it hardens and sets and then becomes a shop I believe and there is more decorating they add to the lobby later also.
MK was all decorated, Osborne lights were wonderful so we definitely felt like we got a lot of holiday sights.
