I am in the process of trading my timeshare week for a week in Orlando. Here are a few resorts I'm interested in. Has anyone stayed at these resorts? If so, how was the commute to the Magic Kingdom? (that's where we spend most of our time) Our last trip we stayed on site a few days & then switched to the Vistana.
Here's the list:

Orange Lake
Embassy Vacation Resort at Grand Beach
Royal Palms
Silver Lake
Sunterra Rresorts Cypress Point
Celebration World Resort

Off Site 5/96
FWC 9/99
Dixie Landings 5/00
Disney Crusie 5/00
Vistana 5/00

I don't have much info for the timeshares on your list but I searched this forum a while back and gots lots of info. Try a search. From the info we got here and from the TUG2 boards and from the web sites for the resorts I narrowed our list to about 12 places. Only 1 was available so we ended up with HGVC. It looks great. The only downside I can see is that it is a touch farther from WDW. It is basically across the street from SW. BTW we are going week of 11/10/2001. Here are some link I had bookmarked. Happy searching.

I have stayed at Orange Lake, it is about 2 miles from the Disney Entrance. Not a real problem. You can also take the back road, past Animal Kingdom which saves you the traffic on 192. Celebration is down the road from Westgate Vacation Villas (which I own at) and should take about the same time as Orange Lake.

We own two weeks at Orange Lake and love it. It's close to Disney and the resort is great.
If there is anything specific about Orange Lake you'd like to know, let me know. They have
a web site but I don't know how up-to-date it is.

Hi, We are just back from a week stay at Orange Lake.
Our 2 bedroom unit was beautiful and I can only say nice things about the resort. We stayed in the North Village(the newer section). I called about 2 weeks before we went and requested that section, we were an exchange with RCI too! The pool is wonderful and the north village pool has a walk in area for little kids and a water slide. My kids are 6 and the slide was just right for them. I will be glad to anwser any questions you might have. They have nightly entertainment and functions planned while you are there.
I hope that this helps. I think that this is problably one of the nicest exchanges in Orlando. The second week that we were there, we stayed at Vistana and that rates equal with Orange Lake, although they had more restaurants on site. If you want to golf, orange lake is the place for you.
