awwwwwww geeeeeee! We have been looking up timeshares and found out that you must have your husband with you to attend.I am traveling with my daughter her friend and mom and we wanted to go to some timeshares.Does anyone know of any time shares that you can attend without your spouse.

I don't know for sure, but how do these time shares know you are married? Will they not present to a single mother?

I go to the timeshares everytime I go and they ask are you married and I just say no. I'm traveling with my children. They don't make you show proof of income or anything for the presentations.

Just tell them you're not married. They will take single women, but most will refuse single men. Just make sure to watch the 90-120 minutes they promised and always know you can get a resale cheaper (except for DVC). They ask for your ID and an income range. If you meet both of those, you'll get in as a "single" mother.

I have to ask. Why would you put yourself through all that pressure?

To some people, like myself, it's not pressure. Plus, it's her choice.

If you go into it knowing that it is a forsure no you dont come out spending a dime............Besides we know not to go to west gate lol:earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Have done this many times to the tune of free Park admission, Free vacations and Free Golf Clubs (Taylor Made Rac Irons retail value $499.00)

Like the previous poster said, if you know your not going to budge and buy, do it. Its only 90 mins and its free.

Its a personal choice. Just be sure to back yourself up. Dont let them get the upperhand. If they do, your done for.

Good Luck!!!

Wow - that golf club one would be fantastic - my DH needs new clubs big time!!! Where was that one?

Twice I was offered to go even when I was upfront that DH was not there - Branson & once at Marriott DTD for whatever property Marriott has. We had someone else with us or I definitely would have done the Marriott one as it was for $100 Marriott GC. If I can get the opportunity I will definitely try to do one. I would love to do Disney just for the fun of it - last time they offered me lunch at B & C but we were out of time. Disney is the one I would worry about buying!!!

What ones would you recommend doing and what did you receive for them? My DD will be patient I'm sure if I buy her off with a trip to DisneyQuest that night.

Anyone have any good ones?

Do you have a spouse? Does the timeshare require that you tour together if you have a spouse? They can tell with a click of a mouse if you are married and whether you have the amount of income required to get their "free offer". You could find yourself spending a couple of hours with a salesman for those free park tickets (or whatever)only to find yourself emptyhanded because you didn't meet their requirements.

Jgates...

This particular resort was in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.
Place called The Cliffs at Possum Kingdom. Really nice place, but if Im buying time share space, its going to be in Orlando with Disney.

The brought us out there, (paid for the gas too) did the gee whiz tour. Really was nice, but way overpriced. Told him we werent interested and they let us go. I asked about the clubs...He went in the back room and got me the box. Brand New, still had the plastic wrap over each club and the box.

On the flyer I got in the mail before I agreed to do it, it said they were giving away golf clubs. I read the finer print and they were
Taylor Made, Pings or Calloway. Im sure anyone who bought that trip got the Calloways. Since I had just purchased some new clubs about 3 months prior, I took the clubs and then went to the store. Told them my parents got them for me as a gift but I already had a set. They gave me store credit, $499.

Thanks soooooo much everyone.I think I will be safe and just find one where you can go w/o spouse if one exists lol. Thanks again!:Pinkbounc
