HI everyone, does anyone have a reputable timeshare tour that can get us the cool 2 day non park hopper, 1 day minor park tickets?

My only problem is that the oldest of us going is 24.. so we may have a hard time getting in.

Thanks in advance!

I never heard of such a thing but it may exist. Also not sure if there is an age minimum for a timeshare tour. What exactly is a minor park ticket?

Hey, a fellow Jerseyean..

What I meant was this.. it's called a "Touch of Magic" ticket. you get 2 days in the big 4 parks.. no park hopper. So MK one day, Epcot another for instance. Then, you also get access to the water parks for a day.

Most timeshares will state a 90 minute requirement to get whatever they are offering

However... When you get there you will be invited to go into a lounge for snacks, coffee, etc.

When you are finally taken to the salesperson is when the clock starts. You will be invited, after a movie or something, to tour the property. Ths will be in a golf cart. You will be far from the sales office when the 90 minutes is up.

Once you get back you will still have more to go through, possibly a "manager" coming in to offer a better deal than the original salesperson.

Actual total time from arrival to departure will be closer to 2.5 hours rather than 90 minutes. Add in travel time both ways and how much time will you be spending?

Calculate your vacation time and hourly cost.

Take the total number of hours from the time you leave home until the time you return. Then subtract out the time sleeping or otherwise spent in your room. This gives you actual vacation time in hours.

Then take the total cost of your trip, transportation, tickets, lodging, meals, etc. Divide this by the number of hours. This gives you a cost per hour for your actual vacation time.

Now look at what you are getting, and consider how much it is really costing you.

BTW, almost any Disney ticket you get from a timeshare promotion (especially if you get a voucher) cannot be upgraded or modified in any way.

Well now. You just went above and beyond!

My main problem is this: I'm traveling with myself, my soon to be DF(if she accepts while there!), and 5 others, all young like myself without tons of money to spend. I really think we should spend two days at Disney, but in terms of $, it's not in the cards. This seems like a better option, and if I could schedule it on the Friday we arrive (Where we have nothing planned- an ad hoc day) it seemed like a good idea.

I'd be careful. They are hard sellers and if they accept you will prey on your being young.

Also, a lot of them require you to be married and have a certain income level...

Thankfully I've put the work in to be fine on the income level from what I've seen, but the Married and age thing is going to put the kabosh on this one. Thanks for the help.

also some do not do family members or friends traveling together.. if you go, do NOT KNOW the rest of your group at the resort.

I have never seen one that required you to be married in order to take advantage of their offer. I'm not even sure that it would be legal to do that. However, if you ARE married, they do require that both of you attend the presentation.

My brother just did one of the Hilton timeshare presentations in Orlando and he is divorced. The offer was for a room at a highly discounted price but I believe that they also had park tickets available at a reduced rate. He said it was very low pressure, possibly due to the fact that he already owns DVC, travels for business quite a bit and has a bazillion HiltonHonors points with diamond status.

1) For a while, I did Concierge and OPC work for a timeshare.
2) As an OPC (the folkss in hotel or restaurant lobbies), you sent people for tours.
3) The object was to send folks.
4) Under ANY guise.
5) All the slips say "approx" 90-minutes.
6) If you asked any questions, then the 90-minutes can be extended - BY LAW.
7) The only way to get away with 90-minutes is
. . . have the OPC write & initial on the slip, 90-minutes guaranteed
. . . do not ask questions AFTER the tour
. . . during the tour, fine
. . . but, afterward, during the closing, cancels the time guarantee

NOTE: Florida law says that if you are guaranteed a time limit, let's say
90-minutes, you MUST be given your gift at that time. The timeshare
cannot extend the time if you ask out. However, if you ask questions,
the law assumes you are interested, and VOLUNTARILY nullify the
time limit. That is why the OPC's are reluctant to write a guarantee
on the slip.

A friend of mine though exactly the same as you trnsfrmr a quick 90min excursion for a 2day ticket. 4 and a half hours later still no tickets and even when they tried to get out for the 96th time they were told they had breached the policy so ended up just walking away with nothing but a wasted journey.

Take TheRustyScupper's advice and if you are thinking about this make some surety that you are getting the deal that is on offer.

Rusty, is there some loophole that makes it possible for them to NOT give you the incentive (free tickets or whatever)? How frequently would it happen?
