Timeshare Store question?

Was thinking about adding on through the timeshare store. I own at BWV now and would like to add 25 points there as well. In addition to the cost of the points listed, are there any hidden fees? Anybody at timeshare store that I should talk to directly? Thanks.

Purchasing small contracts resale can be more expensive than it appears. Generally the buyer pays the closing costs which can be in the $350 - $400 range. So for a 25 point contract, closing can easily add another $16.00/point to your purchase cost.

For such a small add on, I would try calling your guide.... as Caskbill mentioned the closing fees can hurt with a small contract.

I would DEFINITELY do that small of an add-on via DVC. The cost will be SOOO much cheaper, you will get a full year's worth of points, and who knows how long you would wait to find a contract that small come up. I spoke to my guide on Fri, and DVC has quite a few BWV points right now...so, I would just call and go for it!!!

Heehee....you know me SOOO well!!! But, actually...no...at least not right now, anyway!!! I was talking to him for my mom...yes, she just got "in the system" on Fri. She wanted Gib to be her guide as well (he has been SOOO nice to me)!!! Well, she IMMEDIATELY realized that her 50 VWL points were not going to be enough, and wanted to talk to him about adding-on.

Add-on-itis is SUCH a contagious disease!!!

I've completed one OKW resale with Jason at TTS, and I'm ROFRing on a BWV resale with Jason right now (we haven't made it home yet!). I really like Jason, he stayed on top of everything (I tend to loose important papers :grin: ).

For 25 points you will be better off getting on DVC's waitlist. Closing costs are going to be around $400 and that is $16 per point!

We used Pat Spell at the Timeshare Store when we bought our OKW contract and were very impressed with her.
