We just purchased a timeshare (our first one) so I'm still new to all the ins and outs of timesharing. We want to take a trip down to Orlando in the spring with my cousin and her family. There will be 9 of us (4adults, 3boys-teenage, 2girls-tweens) My question is should we exchange our timeshare (it's a 3 bdrm lockout) through II or should we split the cost of a rental house (which would be 4-5 bdrms)? We wouldn't necessarily be visiting WDW since we just went the beginning of this year. It would be more the rest of the Orlando attractions since we haven't been there for a long time and my cousin's family never have.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would use the TS. Is the timeshare that you own in Orlando? A 3BR should hold 10 people. It will be crowded though. Depending on when you want to go you may want to also pick up a cheap II getaway at the same resort you exchange in to so you will have more space. If you are spending more time away from the parks you may find the resort experience more enjoyable than a private home. Or you may be able to spit the lock out and trade in to two 2BR units.

No it isn't in Florida. It's actually in VA. Other people have said that they get really good trades from the resort that we bought (even into DVC).
I was wondering about space though. Good idea about the getaway. I was going to try for Mystic Dunes or try for maybe two 2bdrms at Horizons.
